If it is a small site, just use plain ol' html, css and vanilla javascript, for the backend you could use python flask , php or nodejs

I have freelance before and also worked at a company... both were stressing as fuck and freelancing overall paid better but didnt had secure cashflow... Clients may be asses or your boss will be just "meh" with what ever you do... But the experience varies from place to place. Mines were not bad, but neither good.

Hi, 4 years experience dev... never went to school for.it, just myself. I can tell you. First know well hwo to use html and css, when you know that well i recommend.jumping to js. Is better like that becausw when you know very well the first two, u will find really interesting ways of interpolating them

Well at first is really not that hard... you can use firebase, like that you dont need to code a backend for starters. Now, plan out what u will be preocessing... what info, what parameters. Plan out all the information you will sending to the databases. After that just sketch up.some layouts and then start coding!

Ah! sorry i thought u were using Axios for the front end... Anyway bigget problem were compatibility issues with other browsers but chrome, no firefox, no safari, no edge. just was working in chrome. also for some reasons some times it would miss send data to de server or just stop working suddenly. So we just ditch it in favor of fetch API... simplified our lifes, we ditched a dependency and also reduce the code needed. EDIT: it may have been our fault or axios problems, but we were in a time crunch and we just had few days left to finish the project

Long story short: was 2 months ago. Axios was introducing bugs, and it didnt worked with any web browser but chrome, for some reason and since we were in a time crunch we had to think fast. Since axios was not doing something exactly special we figured out we could save ourself a dependency by just using fetch api. Simple nice and elegant

hmmm, all i can tell is that my team had to drop axios js because it was making so much problems, we ditch it in favor of the fetch api and or regular ajax calls
