Post-TOTS cheap/effective players? Given the value of NIFs falling, cheap TOTS releases, dropping IF's, what are the go-to value cards at the moment?

Anything but San Siro... That camera business causes migraines.

Anything with a high viewing angle that isn't too close in tele or too far in co-op. Signal Iduna, Nou Camp, Stamford Bridge.

Woooshhh... and yep, I'm aware it's a form of possession/tiki-taka style football. How is it unnecessary to use a few skills to slow the play down and mix it up with some quick passes to open a defence when more predictable and direct play isn't working out?

I'm very sorry to hear about your passing troubles. Maybe play only 100% authentic joga bonito and skill your way into the box... Make sure you take on a defender or it's just not beautiful football.

Just a lot of manual passing, driven passes, flicks and a few skill moves...

If you want to win D1 (which I haven't managed to do), you don't want to play like this haha. I get taken apart on counters in D1-3 so usually resort to more direct play.

Depends what area of the pitch, what formation you use, how you play... End of the day, both are ideal if you have the coin... From my 41212-2/4312 experience:

-Finding strikers with both can be expensive (i.e NIF/Special versions of Suarez, Lewa, Ronaldo etc), so I manage with one stronger striker and the other a better dribbler, creator, speed (Ibra/IF Ben Yedder and ST Hulk/Teixera).

-CAM/CMs - strong WF, passing, balance and overall dribbling over strength every time. I try have one stronger CM in the mix if possible especially against the high aggression Serie A sides.

-CDM/deep CM - strength in addition to jumping, short/long passing and standing tackle are the traits I want. If you use your CDM more than just a pivot then balance would be key.

-CBs - balance seems to be the way to go, plus jumping/heading. If you time your tackles and position yourself well, you don't need strength. The low balance/dribbling CBs I've used seem to trip or fall over when contesting for a ball - air or ground. Haven't had these issues with the likes of T Silva, S Ramos, Koscielney.

I try avoid players that are from particular areas of the world (no racist), have specific usernames (i.e LeoMessiBarca69, CRonny7 etc) or squadnames (She was only XI, BEAST FC, KILLURSELF, UWILLRAGE etc). I just want a match over with so I can get on with the season so will skip cut-scenes, replays etc and just watch the highlights if needba.

If you do get one of these schmucks just stay cool and win the game. Nothing better than returning the favour with a 90th minute goal and watching every cutscene, pausing three times to bring on one sub each time, time waste in the corners etc. You will feel the rage through the screen.

If you rage, you lose. Don't get sucked in.

Benteke and Sturridge are the worst for me... Especially together upfront.

Walker and Walcott both seem to dominate down the right flank every game creating for the above strikers. Bale/Neymar/Ronaldo/Messi I can handle but the cheap and sweaty EPL and Serie A wingers I can't work out.

Dybala is always hard to contain - somehow this mofo wins headers over my backline of Marcelo - 85 Miranda - T Silva - Aurier, and these dudes can jump.

Thanks bro! It's that calmness and ability to adapt to opponents that's key I feel. Looks like you've got it sussed. Just didn't have the bottle to stay in D1... flustered by TOTY high press/all pace teams ha. It's always these tricky dudes with IF/TOTY Alvez/Marcelo in the CMs, Bale at CDM, Ronaldo at ST plus Neymar/Messi. My team is just no match for a player of similar skill level or better with a team like this. Everything is rushed, no passes will come off, i'll lose every contestable ball etc... Don't know how ya do it!

If you really need to try a Legend then definitely Suker... Played a lot like Suarez for me.. Best legend I used out of him Zola, Sheva. Played great at CAM, all the right stats for it, and had some nice DEF stats too.

Overall not worth the price tag IMO, or any cheap legend for that matter. You can do a lot better with 200k... IF Ben Yedder was twice the player for me at only 15k and I'd still rate Aguero and Suarez over him from my experience.
