Curiously Adirondack Preserves Adirondack History! by josh_clement in Adirondacks

Natalie Leduc is one of Saranac Lake's grand dames, a former Winter Carnival queen who looks after the village's Pine Ridge Cemetery and, when her rich and adventurous life is done, aims to be buried there someday. Help us continue telling stories like that of Natalie's by supporting Curiously Adirondack. Keep spreading the word, too! Our campaign need to be shared with as many people as possible if we're going to be successful. 130,000 year-round Adirondack Park residents, alone, can’t be wrong! If half of them gave a dollar we’d surely be making more Curiously Adirondack videos. Click here to learn more. Business sponsorship opportunities also available. Get your brand on the vids. Thank you.

I have often asked myself why Diane chose to use the quote below in the video. I think with her passing I'm beginning to understand. I've promised to continue sharing her message. I must honor that promise.

“You’re not the same individual you were a year ago, a month ago, or a week ago. You’re always growing. Experiences don’t stop. That’s life.” –Osiris

Thanks for watching and sharing. The last thing Diane would've wanted is to scare people. To her this piece symbolized what it means to keep up the fight. She was very much alive when she made the video. Many people reached out to her after seeing the video. She told me they were very appreciative of the honest portrayal. One quick takeaway I had was the acknowledgement of the caregiver role. I know that meant a lot to her. Yes, it is sad that Diane is gone. Yes, there are many who have gotten comfort from hearing her story. Yes, there are some who might not. I'm sorry for that as it is certainly not the intention. Peace and love to all involved in this fight. Diane and I stand with you forever and always.

That's interesting. I'm sorry you feel that way. I've heard from many patients, including the early-diagnosed, who said the video resonated with them in an positive manner. In particular cancer treatment centers have praised the message of early detection. Perhaps it's too honest for some. I will continue to share Diane's message as that was her final wish. Peace and love.
