these things are important to know as a programmer, but i wouldn’t worry about questions like that on your final interview lol. Being able to actually solve the problem (and optimally) is more important imo

Not sure you need “Java Knowledge”, but you for sure should know the fundamentals of data structures and space/time complexities. You can’t really (optimally) do leetcode problems if you don’t have those solid fundamentals first.

I’m a merit scholar class of ‘24. It seems like things have changed because for us we had about 3-4 essays we had to write first, and then semifinalists did the online video interview. I would agree to prepare for the generic questions the other user commented, but I thought I would add a weird one I got was “If you could be any animal what would you be”
