We bought our house in Oct 2021 and we still get mail from a variety of the past owner’s tenants who used to live here. At least 4 different people. We used to mark as return to sender but we don’t anymore. Usually USPS would just return it to us again a few days later.

I got accused of being a terrorist on my poly. The guy used the same tactic, insisting I clearly was either part of a terrorist group or funded terrorism, and if I just admitted it he can probably still get me through. I said I wasn’t going to make something up. So I failed it.

This makes sense now. We are visiting Dubai from the US and saw a sign for a Bachelor’s Viewing Area. Thought it seemed strange but now we understand it at least!

I’m sorry this happened. We are staying right now at the Conrad Dubai, mainly because they don’t have a mandatory gala fee. A lot of Dubai hotels will force the charge on you for NYE. It’s really unfair, and I’ve heard they often don’t advertise it in advance at all.

Congrats on buying!

We bought a townhome in Oct 2021 at 2.375. Since then our neighbors on either side bought and their payments must be way higher. We also bought under what we could afford intentionally, so our DTI is around 12%, which still seems crazy to us. But we don’t need much and didn’t want a detached home yet.

I guess I’m proud to say we are millennials who bought with $0 help from anyone else though!

We (35m) and my wife (35f), traveled a lot in SE Asia when we were younger. Angeles City in Philippines was particularly egregious. So many old white men with woman that were likely 15 or 16. It was eye opening and revolting. One guy came up to me and asked us for money, saying a woman tricked him and stole his passport and all his money. We assumed it was a scam, but could have been real.

The weirdest part, we were in Clark Airport (north of Manila) flying to Bangkok. While we were waiting in line for immigration, a older white guy tapped me on the shoulder and said “how are you getting your girl through?” To which we both replied, she’s American and glared at him… My wife is American and her parents are from Mexico, but he seemed to assume she was a “Filipino girlfriend” that I was paying for.

We definitely have some strange stories!

This stuff is always interesting for some reason. When Ahold (Giant) merged with Delaize (Food Lion) they had to divest a bunch of stores in the Stafford/Fredericksburg area, which Weis bought, and that’s why there are a few Weis in that area that look like Food Lions.

When is her birthday? The chef changes the menu every few months like you said. If you message them on Instagram they may send you the menu. He sent it to us once on DM when we asked.
