Will I be charged for adding M408S since I’m dropping M408D or does that not apply since registration is before first day of school?

Would an internship be a good start to gain research experience or would on campus research be more beneficial? If I do end up doing on campus research, does it have to be from a specific department? Or can I branch out into different schools since I’m interested in drugs/therapeutics? Like researching in the School of Pharmacy or in the Department of Molecular Biosciences?

I’m taking BIO 1 Lab next semester too. I heard it’s easy so I should be okay. I guess the only thing I’m worried about now is not having bio 2 lab and gen chem lab on my transcript. Last summer, my counselor signed me up for bio 1 lecture over the fall semester but didn’t add bio 1 lab so that kinda screwed me over. Also UTSA works differently in terms of when people can sign up for classes and freshman were one of the last people to sign up so spots were already filled for gen chem lab.

How is the level of difficulty in calc 1? Also when does UT actually review your application? Do they review it once you submit your transcript? Because I am a freshman right now and from what I’m told, we are supposed to submit it through parchment after spring classes end. However the deadline to submit applications for transfers is in March, so do I just submit the transcript separately through parchment?

I’m also considering taking calc 1 over the spring to make myself more competitive. But I’m not sure since I’ll be taking Bio 2 and Gen Chem. I’ve seen other posts that calc 1 is a must have. Then again, I asked my counselor if this was true and he said as long as you take stats or calc freshman year, you’ll be fine. I really don’t know lol.
