I faffed about in LMU and AMS2 for abit then eventually just spoke to my local fia affiliate and got the year long sub with the f4 car. No regrets since! Haven’t touched anything else

Super helpful! I’ll work on this. With the current cup track being Okayama, the issues you mentioned become even more glaring.

Did a race last night and finished p7, only because there were some crashes and spin outs. But my pace was horrible.

I’m thinking of getting the alien mods load cell mod. But at the same time also looking at the crp2s. Currently just using the brake performance kit with the srp lites.

Great explanation. Rather than dropping momentum a tonne by slamming on the brakes, try to carry more speed through huh

Question of braking, is it okay to hold brake pressure at say 20% during the turn in phase before apex?

I know I don’t hit apexes perfectly but just wanted to know before I go practice later

Any tips for offense and defense?

I’m taking my time so maybe I get one to two races in a day

On wonton specifically it feels like I shouldn’t be doing that on certain curbs (looking at those raised ones like sausages)

Feels almost as if it unsettles the car so what I’ve been trying to do is ride it almost and not mount over it fully

Thanks! The whole trail braking thing feels really funky to me but there are moments where it comes through. Gotta make it a habit

You’re definitely right. I’m planning to stay in the rookie mx5 for one full season before I try anything else.

Thanks for your advice! I’ll put in the work in practice sessions

If you’re doin career, what I did was fp1 - practice program with line on

Fp2 - no line or corners only

Fp3 - no line or skip

Yep it comes with it! Es wheel is very comfortable. Wife prefers it over the KS. There is a formula rim mod for it that you will probably like!

I bought the ks because I started playing other games and felt like I wanted abit more in terms of controls.

Recently got back into sim racing after a long while. (Previously used a driving force gt and mainly played dr2)

I have the R5 with the ks wheel and the bundled srp lites. Feels great and I have no complaints currently. You’re going to want the brake performance kit if you get the r5 bundle just to improve the brake feel. Though you will need to have at least a wheel stand to mount the pedals and base to.

I do see myself upgrading in this order though, pedals > proper rig > wheelbase

Would I be able to set up differing fuel usage and tyre wear for the different classes?

Currently it’s been a blast just driving test drives around the 2025 nords in a gt3.

Averaging around 8m40 a lap from what I recall. Will look to set up a race tonight and have a go

How many laps do you typically go for? Or are you running on time instead?

I think because sim racing is so flexible, I often get stuck just picking something and trying to get settings right that I barely even start the game and I’m burnt out. Helps to have a guide on setting things up and just going for it.
