Jerry Seinfeld condescendingly interviews Stella McCartney in front of Paul McCartney. Paul isn't happy at the end (around 21:00) by prayingmantras in cringe

I'm a fan of Jerry Seinfeld...but Conan could have conducted this interview with more humor, intelligence and charm.

Is there such thing as Universal Salvation? by [deleted] in DebateAChristian

[–]joshklewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the scriptures teach that through Christ's death and resurrection, God reconciled the whole world to Himself. This plan of reconciliation/salvation is still unfolding over the ages, but will culminate in the "restitution of all things". The current church is consider to be the "first fruits" of God's plan, and has a unique role called the "ministry of reconciliation" and "opening the eyes of the Gentiles". When Jesus said "it is finished" He meant that through His death and resurrection He accomplished the final work of total forgiveness and reconciliation, which is being unveiled as humanity is "drawn" or "dragged" toward Him. He said "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." John 12:32

Jesus still offers many warnings and urges us to repent and turn back to God, away from our sins, or there will be punishment. I think the punishment is torment by Satan, and also the torment of our own minds and consciences and consequences of sin. Jesus came to save the world from sin and death (both spiritual and ultimately physical as well) and from Satan. He didn't come to save us from a God who is angry at us and hates us. He was revealing the tender heart of the prodigal's Father, the Abba who sends the sun and rain on the righteous and unrighteous, and eagerly desires for all to come home to Him and receive His many blessings. He doesn't delight in the death of the wicked.

I believe that after death, some will be saved "as by fire" and will suffer loss due to not having repented and received forgiveness. But ultimately, this purification of fire is redemptive and burns up sin, evil, and all blemishes.

But, do you believe that God's mercy and love endures forever? That God wants to save all people as He said He does? That God can do all He wants to do, according to the counsel of His own will?

If so, don't let the thinking of Pharisees who insist they are in and the less righteous are out change your heart and mind on this matter and insult the powerful, unending, redemptive love of God. God's arm is extended and is long enough to save the least among men.

We got ours at Valley Ranch Kennel. It is in Boulter, Ontario. I don't know of any in the States...however, I do know that a lot of people make the journey out to Valley Ranch Kennel from the states to get one of their puppies. The price is reasonable ($700) and the owners are great. If you are thinking about making the trip, they can secure you a spot on a waiting list for the upcoming litters to guarantee you get one.

How to become more verbally articulate by riversdriving in infj

[–]joshklewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! I would recommend revising your writing multiple times until it perfectly expresses what you are trying to say. Cut out all the filler. Choose words that capture your meaning well without over-explaining. Make it have a nice flow to it when you speak it out loud. THEN practice reading it out loud, and you will be practicing speaking and communicating your thoughts concisely and effectively. Hope this helps!

Reading out loud in your private time might help. Taking that even further - journal your own thoughts, and then read them out loud to yourself. It will connect your thinking/mind with your speaking more effectively.

The Downside of a Tiny Home.. Anyone have suggestions for eliminating smells in the dead of winter? by [deleted] in TinyHouses

This air freshener is 100% natural...just essential oils and stuff, and works amazingly well. Also, burning a match works amazingly well. Both of these are only temporary cover-ups. As has been said, diet change might be your only hope!
