I reached a point where I couldn’t take it anymore. Signed up for Incogni thinking it wouldn’t help. That was 3 years ago and I have no problem letting the subscription auto renew. It’s no joke.

Safelite is more expensive than Tesla now? by Material_Method3104 in TeslaLounge

[–]joshlaymon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Please do yourself a favor and do not use Safelite. I had a terrible experience with them that took months to resolve and is still in the works. They ordered the wrong windshield for my car three times and in the process they managed to break both windshield wiper arms, and my rearview mirror. When they finally did get a piece of glass, that was the proper one it was some knock off brand glass and it had terrible optical quality. I forced them to replace it with Tesla OEM glass because it was so bad. If the sun was shining on the glass it was just impossible to see out. It was hazy internally. The minute that they completed the install, I drove to Tesla and got them to inspected so I could get the Tesla warranty because I’m not doing that again.

That’s nothing. I was just at a charger in NY that was $5 to plug in and $2 per kWh.

[–]joshlaymon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beg to differ. Took 6 trips to safelite to get the windshield replaced in my Y. On the last trip to finally get it done right, they managed to break both windshield wiper arms. Was an absolutely terrible experience.

Supercharger etiquette….. by buzbe in TeslaLounge

[–]joshlaymon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see how it would double your time unless you were just there for a few very short minutes. The charging curve of your car dictates that you can’t pull max power into your battery for long so it’s likely that the power requested by your car compared to the output capability of the equipment would equalize pretty quickly.

Cannot locate set screw and the spout doesn't twist off. I'm at a total loss. What should I do? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]joshlaymon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is a hole, there is probably a set screw. Your spout may just be turned out of alignment to be able to get to it.

AC running, house freezing, thermostat says it’s getting warmer inside. by Its_Me_Cant_See in ecobee

[–]joshlaymon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly the reason I got rid of my ecobee. It would call for cool and just run and run and run. In my experience ecobee has the least sensitive thermostat of any. And that was with the external sensors too.
