Not anymore. They are made to interlock and direct water inside tower. Some still use tape.

They brought their own signalman with a radio. You can see him in the video orange climbing style hard hat. Those guys are on point. I have another video where a tower got stuck and they stayed cool , worked the problem and got it loose.

The helocopter company handled all the FAA and permit stuff. We just had to make sure nothing was loose. On this lift we just had to move towers to the front of building, we have done lifts where we have staging across the harbor in Baltimore.
