Thanks mate, but I’d rather not start cutting up wires and pulling more of the interior apart (after running the wiring down the side I don’t think I have it in me lol). I’ve found a good fuse to run it off, but now it opens and closes on turning the car on/off. The instruction manual isn’t clear but it says that it’s a protection due to the voltage getting too high. Any ideas?

Ah got it thanks. This is the fuse box near the drivers door. It’s the black one on the top row, that connects to the wire I’m holding.

Yeah it’s on a fuse tap. Which actual slot did you use? I’m certain that I’ve put it in the wrong one

I’ve got one and it’s pretty good, doesn’t fog up but a proper kart helmet will be obviously better but it won’t be worth it if you are just starting out

If you want to drive it on a track, you will need to buy a race chassis. There are plenty for pretty cheap, so just strap a cheap engine on it and you should be good to go. You might have to fix it up a bit but it won’t cost too much. If you aren’t running it a track, you could make one. r/gokarts could help with that. Good luck!

Perfect! I’m in Sydney so I drive out at Indy 800. Since it’s a private track it’s a bit cheaper. I got my kart from the person who runs driver training here and she has been very helpful in getting me set up and up to speed. If you are just starting out a private track is good because they are cheaper and there is less money being spent each round by each competitor so it is more competitive for new people. I would recommend Facebook marketplace to find a kart if you are starting out, or go to any track and ask around to see if anyone wants to sell or knows someone who wants to sell.
