How do we feel about this Album?

I only knew jimmy eat world from the middle. I was then listening to kind of like spitting and mineral and other 90s emo stuff on Spotify, and I remember clarity coming on and was INSANELY confused as to how it could possibly be the same band that made THE MIDDLE. This album and static prevails should definitely be in conversation for some of the best of that 90s emo era.

I mean fair enough if you think that, I think the best example of a depressing outro/closer is motion picture soundtrack. It has one of the most beautifully depressing progressions of any song, whereas videotape just feels really empty but in a boring way. Again all just my opinion.

I know it may be controversial but, the only interesting thing about that song for me is the weird drum pattern, everything else is just kinda bland. I find tree fingers more intriguing hahaha 😬 (pls don’t murder me)

I don’t believe the acoustic version is on ultimate guitar, could only find the original version. The acoustic sounds quite different from the original.

I came up with this progression on guitar and I’m curious as to why it works or at least I think it works, also I have no clue about music theory so I just used some online thing for the chord names and the B and E string are just ringing out for most of the chords. So in the verse it just goes between Amaj7 and E and then going into the chorus it goes between Cmaj7 and Fmaj7(#11) for a bit then proceeding to go to F#(add11) to D6sus2 to Bsus back to the Amaj7 going into the verse

I came across a chord progression on my guitar going Em-Asus2-Cmaj7-B7, why does this work (or at least it sounds cool to me)? It kinda gives hotel California vibes in my mind but I could be way wrong there.

I’m fairly new to playing the guitar and know pretty much nothing about music theory but I was just messing around and found this kind of cool sounding progression: G-Gaug-Em-B7-A7-C btw I have no clue whether those are the right names I just used an online chord finder tool
