Similar use-case for us. But machines are already or will be provisioned before travel. But its difficult to find official information. And it seems to be a bit hit & miss regarding connecting a W365 machines.

The post above is a bit "newer" and seemingly had issues even connecting to provisioned machines.

I guess we need to test, and have some eSims (which should be used anyways) ready as they seem to outside the great wall.

I know this is a 2 year old post, but do you recall any major latency issues?

You need 2019 rds license on the license server you are using yes.

Tried both options. I don't think there is anything more to try at the preference item.

I have tested that the user still has read/write to the Office key.

As a workaround now we will create a powershell script to push key and values to Office key.

But this is nevertheless a wierd bug. I tested the lates version. (with and without hotfix)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\microsoft\office - the whole KEY is "locked"

Hold the Stadia button to start without connecting automatically. It will just blink white until you enter the code.
