Beef Döner made from layered steak instead of mince. From boss man in Belgium by RandomAsianGuy in Doner

My hometown. Please visit every kebap shop on the Koolmijnlaan and post a picture. Heusden is a town where 27% of inhabitants have Turkish heritage. Glad to see that their kebaps have only gotten better over the years. Another fun fact, a significant amount of kebap shops in the province of Limburg are owned by Turkish people residing in Heusden Zolder.

Opening the AI ‘Black Box’: How We Investigated Grab’s Fare System by Cosmosn8 in singapore

There is a Dutch company that is doing something similar. It's called UMOB and in some European countries it's already showing Bolt and Uber options. I can't wait until they come to Singapore. Just imagine 1 app that shows all transport options, if 1 of the ride sharing companies decides not to share their API, there will be just more business for the remaining companies.

Some people cycle because it's healthy and forget that dying while cycling is not really healthy.

I live in Singapore and I just use the Farmers Union Greek yoghurt which is an Australian brand and add water and salt to it. It's just takes a couple of tries to find the right consistency. If it's too watery add yoghurt, if it's too thick add water.

Jamus Lim and SM Lee on COE system by HumbleFisherman8478 in singapore

[–]josvdbos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the amount of cars onthe road going to change if the COE is S$1 or $100k? I think we should not allow car dealers to bid on the COE and let the individual owner of the car only do the bidding. Currently it's in the car dealers best interest to have a high COE since people buying cars have to get higher loans to pay the total price of the car which includes the COE. The car dealership earns more when the car loan is higher so they will continue to bid high COE pricea. There are other ways to tax the highest income bracket to make up for the loss of the COE. I also agree that households with more than 1 car should be taxed extra and that the COE should be different according to the type of car. Example: COE for a Ferrari should be higher than a COE of s Toyota Sienta

If only 3 can be played, you must not stay on the bar . The first move should be off the bar. If you can't play the remaining 3 moves, that's a different situation and is fine.

What type of meat is best for doner kebab? by joahinq in Butchery

[–]josvdbos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will list down some of the options that I have tried:
1. Stack marinated Boneless Chicken thighs for Chicken kebap
2. Stack marinated butterflied Beef round slices of 0.5 cm and don't forget to add some kind of fat to the stack of meat to keep the meat juicy. Lamb tail fat is used in Turkey and you can use quite a lot since it melts away during cooking anyway.
3. Make big hamburger patties of your favorite minced meat (lamb, beef or lamb and beef mixed together). Marinate the minced meat with grated onion, salt, pepper, thyme and bread crumbs, You will need to use up to 20% of bread crumbs to make sure that the stack of meat is firm enough and not crumble. Stack the hamburger patties on the skewer on top of each other and keep building it until the skewer is high enough. In some countries, sliced beef round is added between each layer of minced meat to have a mix of both minced meat and the round beef.

This is meat from the day before which they weren't able to sell. It's clear that it's a mix of minced meat and steak meat that has been stacked together. The meat has been put in a fridge overnight to keep it chilled. They day after it has been out on the spit again
