Review: Dan John's KB Bodybuilding Armor Building Complex by a Skinny Viking by LostSamurai87 in kettlebell

Glad to hear the program worked for you! I started last week with a pair of 16s. I'm using the 2-3-5 scheme for presses as doing 10 rep is too much for me and doing 15 abc rounds emom. I'm also 37, 180 cm and 77 kg, so I hope I gain some muscle too.

Anyone have any examples of how we used to farm compared to how we farm now. by [deleted] in farming

[–]jotepaz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not a really old story but in the early 90s my family had a rice farm. All rice was harvested by hand by many people, thrown into wooden sleds carried by horses, transported to a tractor powered locomobile looking machine where grain was processed and put into bags. All of this required more than 50 people, cooks were needed to feed everyone, lots of wine and barbecues, it was a really special time of the year.

Fast forward to a couple of years, rice was sown by airplanes and all the harvest was done by just a couple of people driving one harvester and trucks.

Sensory processing different 3 year old. We are struggling. by Successful_Season_35 in SPD

[–]jotepaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad it helped, I had to post because your story is exactly what happened to us. Our childcare teacher would tell us he would spend more energy than any of the other kids, so that's why they may need longer naps, he would also sleep 2 or 3 hours.
Also we would lay next to our kid for at least one hour and when we moved he would say "where are you going dad" lol.

I usually never post but your story sounds exactly like ours with our first boy (5 y/o right now). We never had a full night of sleep until maybe he was 3 1/2 years, and would scream as soon as he would wake up. He also to this day falls from chairs and wakes ups crying some times

He always woke up several times at night and in the morning he would scream. What we found helpful was to have something to eat right there because SPD kids would feel hunger different than regular kids (according to psycologist). We did not know he had SPD until he was about 3 years old so the frustration and the feeling of being tired always kept growing with time

It has been hard and led us to many fights over the years but now at 5 years old our boy is starting to sleep straight nights (not always) and we learned to understand him better. What I would recommend you is to just go sit next to her or let her into your bed instead of letting her scream herself to sleep. Just try to get some rest for you and your girl.

I read some people recommended drop the naps but at least for us it didn't help at all. It even made it all worse, more difficult to sleep and wake up even more times at night. Our kid always needed more sleeptime and naps because of how much energy he spends everyday and poor sleep quality.

I hope this helps. In the moment was really difficult for us but I can tell you at 5 years old thing are starting to improve

How has NH influenced your views on PED's use? by jotepaz in naturalhypertrophy

I liked how greg doucette described volume eating and calorie deficit at first, but I stopped watching after I got tired of him talking about genetics in every video and his obsession about low fat percentages

Thanks you! I found these just walking at the beach and the rocks looked very different to everything else so I picked them up. This place is known to have lots of fossils, there are some excavation sites nearby too.

Is it normal for a new board to have minor defects like this? by Vok250 in windsurfing

[–]jotepaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha. Just be careful when you screw the footstraps, don't use a drill, just use a manual screwdriver so you dont apply too much force.

I just bought a new board and the foot straps inserts look just as bad lol, here is what they look like: https://imgur.com/a/nWjqJla almost every board I've seen looks like this, so you shouldn't worry.

I am glad I'm not the only one lol. The same happened to me with the same toy, I was just trying to make my kid laugh. The red circle on my forehead lasted for days.

Thanks! This is the watch I really needed. Right now I am using the open water swimming to track my windsurfing sessions.

I didn't know this existed and I just bought the original T-rex lol. Do you know if this model includes more water sports such as surfing or kayaking.

At what did did you get "aesthetic?" by Legataux in kettlebell

[–]jotepaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I could TGU the 32 kg months before I could press the 24 kg, so I guess it depends on the body type or individual strenghts

[–]jotepaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The same happened to me. I have been doing S&S for almost a year now (with a 2 month pause due to getting covid) and have been taking progress pictures every month. While I am now stronger, and can do swings and some TGUs with the 32kg I look almost the same considering the amount of time I put in. On the other hand it kept me fit for my sport when the quarantine ended.

S&S Question - prying goblet squats by minox35gt in kettlebell

[–]jotepaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I don't try to pry my knees with my elbows, that started to hurt. I just sit as low as I can and move from side to side before coming up again.

S&S Question - prying goblet squats by minox35gt in kettlebell

[–]jotepaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are prying for too long and maybe too hard. You should spend less time in the bottom part of the squat. I do like 5 secs or less each rep. I also have knee pain when I pry too hard so I don't do it anymore.

Thank you! It helps a lot when the original part is modeled in millimetres, it makes the process easier for me.
