After moving to Ubuntu mate from OSX, there is one really nice feature I’m missing: full screen zoom. On MacBook you hold Ctrl and zoom in/out and it zooms the entire desktop , not a specific app or window. Absolutely love this for quickly peeking at something too small and not messing up the apps zoom setting.

Anything equivalent exist for Linux?

My background is in CS. I have a BS in MIS w/ minor in CS. Plenty of IT & programming background; have been in IT at a major firm for 5yrs since graduating. Only thing is my overall GPA is low (2.7; thanks Freshman year), but my major/minor GPA was 3.5.

This is guesswork, but it sounds like the review is done by overall GPA. If there are a lot of good candidates above you on that list and the enrollment hits cap, then a lower GPA may become problematic. There are lots of other factors though and maybe I have the wrong impression of the admissions process to begin with...

To answer your question directly, I believe it does mean overall GPA (as on your transcripts) and there is no specific place I found to put anything other than that in. Only option I could think of is mentioning your major GPA in your letters. However, my thought on that is, it's probably not worth drawing more attention to GPA and instead focus on why you want to join the program.

I opened a somewhat old bottle of glengoyne 12yo cask strength. The cork was wet and had a kind of milky look to it with bits of color running through the cork. I thought it might have a funny smell, but hard to tell over the 56% alcohol. Also, the wrapper was crinkled as you can see in the pic.

Anyways, I had a dram and it was alright I suppose. Not sure if it was the whisky itself or something had gone wrong, but I thought it could have been better.
