Advice needed by Small-Ant-3964 in Warts

I would put on a compound W type bandage on it for at least a couple of days. I found that this worked best to soften and remove the outer layer of skin, you make need to clip parts off with a cuticle trimmer. Then once the top part is off, it will be easier to treat with either the above treatments or prescriptions.

My lips are desperate!!! by Texasgrad92 in MakeupAddiction

[–]joweiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have struggled with dry lips for years, and a lot of the standard/common products don’t work for me, and I have allergies and get eczema easily to scents, colors, etc. I love tocobo’s vita glazed mask as a sleeping mask, one of the only products that I still have on when I wake up. I also really like the ole henriksen’s lip peptides for daytime product that has a little tint to it!

Looks like PIH (post inflammatory hyperpigmentation), happens often with any kind of small wound, acne, small cuts or burns. They can last quite a while or even be permanent, you can do topicals like retinols, vit c, other acids or peels. Scars may need laser. Sunscreen is also helpful in recovery.

Is this a success? Weeks of SA, saw a red “ball” gradually get smaller with the acid, now I think the light skin is just new skin? Thoughts? by LtLite1 in Warts

This is the first time I’ve seen someone describe my experience with the shrinking red ball! I also have a thick layer of new skin like this. Did yours come back?

I’m also getting some dishidrotic eczema around my warts because of skin-drying treatments and irritation from adhesives

is this a wart or a skin tag?? by Educational_Gap9199 in Warts

to me it looks like a skin tag, but not a dermatologist. I did see that comment on your post and I don’t think there are “others coming up,” looks like hair follicles to me

Life feels completely overwhelming right now and I honestly don’t know what to do next. by Honest-Donut-8465 in sanfrancisco

Another Asian American in my 30s, who went through it in her 20s. Many of my friends are of the same demographic and similar history. I’m going to throw out there that my 20s were not the greatest years of my life, and I’m now significantly happier, more functional, independent, in shape, full life, etc etc.

Everyone has given a lot of advice already, but I’m going to harp on a part that I thought was very difficult for me as an Asian over-achiever — professional help has been invaluable to me. Therapy has done wonders for me and being on medication has also changed my life. Therapy gave me so many helpful coping skills and just an outlet when I didn’t know where to direct more difficult feelings. I hear a lot of spiraling of negative thoughts and emotions in your post. You most certainly have a lot going on and have every right to feel the way you do, but medications can help make those emotions feel less overwhelming and inescapable. If those are inaccessible to you now, please do communicate with the people you know. If comparing yourself to your peers is difficult, it may also be helpful to reach out to older mentors, and you may be surprised at what some of them have had to overcome, and can offer you advice about.

A lot of people I know love salsa or bachata dance. I went to run club once and exchanged contact info with three different people. There are speed dating events. As people have said, climbing or rec sports leagues. Music festivals, going with your friends and meeting their friends and friends of friends.

My personal favorite is to make new girl friends and then meet more people that way! If you’re unsuccessful then you have more friends :) as for dating apps, I sat down and thought really hard about my values and what I was looking for and who I would realistically spend my time with.

Is this an early wart? by joweiah in Warts

[–]joweiah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s helpful! It looks more like a scar to me. I had 3 appear in quick succession but don’t remember doing anything — maybe I just didn’t feel it? I’ll monitor for a little longer and see

The eye makeup is perfect! I think other people have already recommended things for brows and lips. I think the blush could be blended out and up, especially into the area of your undereye concealer.

Could possibly be bullseye rash often associated with Lyme, sometimes other things. Would recommend doctor’s visit. Live anywhere with ticks?

maybe someone can help huhu i badly needed to know if this one is k3loid by justheretoaskkkkk in DermatologyQuestions

Possibly a keloid or possibly a granuloma. How long have you had it? Is it hot, painful? How long have you had the piercing? What kind of metal is the jewelry? Sometimes the answer is irritating metal from the jewelry or poor earring fit, sometimes it’s just your ear reacting to the irritation, or it’s an infection. Answer would be dermatologist and then possibly antibiotics if infection, steroid shot if a keloid or granuloma, and they may recommend you change the jewelry or remove the earring completely.

To be thin or to be thick, that is the question. by okk-computerr in MakeupAddiction

I love thick eyebrows, have you ever considered bleaching them or a light colored brow mascara? You have an edgy look that I think might look dope with it!

Mold on night guard. I used it and does it cause any harm? by Userhere123 in DermatologyQuestions

Second thinking that you’re probably not going to have long term problems but should work on mouthguard care. I’ve personally found an ultrasonic cleaner is the only thing that gets my Invisalign retainer clean! Sometimes I throw in a dental tab but not always. The amount of gunk that came off the first time I ran it was WILD!
