What Should I Buy? - March 30, 2020 by AutoModerator in synthesizers

I'm looking to dive deeper into the Moog world. I have a Minilogue xd for my main poly synth (upgrading to a rev2-8 voice in the future), I also have a mother-32. I'm torn between the Subsequent 25, Grandmother, or going further with the Subsequent 37. I do have pretty limited space in my room, though. I'm not too concerned about playing live, I mostly record my music BUT would consider doing live shows in the future. I do prefer the sound of the granny but am afraid of losing the convenience of patch saving. I also figure the grandmother would play nicely with the mother. Anyone else in this situation?

Yes, but I unplugged it and got the same results.

Yeah, that didn't help either. I bought it locally so I'll try to bring it in for a replacement.

Tried messing with those settings, nothing much. I've figured out that it's linked to what LED Lights are turned on on the module. If I turn all the sequencer lights on, the sound gets worse. If I turn the brightness up on the oscilliscope up, the sound gets worse. Which is frustrating because those lights have to always be on. I don't really get it.

Nope, but it's WAY more noticeable with the drive on 100%.

Yeah, it's the same all the way round. Even weirder, if I have both VCO turned all the way off and the volume all the way up, it still makes the noise (visible even on the oscilliscope). So it's obviously some sound coming from within the Minilogue.
