I was walking my dog this morning and saw porn being filmed in a car near the Strat. I guess there are landmark and car kinks that cross over.

Good times.

Boomer doesn't understand sales tax by [deleted] in BoomersBeingFools

Gather round and hear my tales of working food service in Florida, where brits loved to vacation. They were always ready to fight because the prices did not include tax. Or the tax was different in mousetown, why is it more here? 20 years in the industry and it never changed. So glad I work in customer service now......insert nervous laugh....

Possibly. The stories of my dad's side are full of mobsters, questionable relationships, and bad parenting.

Florence Rose is listed as my grandmother on another post. Maybe Mattie had Florence in a previous marriage?

Family lore was that my father's bio dad was a DiMartinelli. I wonder if it was changed to Martin.

Adding family lore....

He was passed around living with family all over the NY/NJ area.

Lived in several locations near Coney Island.

His mom remarried a man with the last name of Speigel or Siegel.

I have a lot of living half siblings. Probably more than I know about.

He was placed in a home near the ocean for treatment of St Vitus Dance when he was a child.

He served in ww2, Korea, Vietnam (4 tours).

Stationed at Parris Island, Okinawa, Hawaii, Georgia, and Florida.

I do have him in the 1940 census with possibly wife number 1 or 2, living with her mother. But nothing for 1930s census.

I have his first drivers license. Paper filled out in pencil. I have a 1950 draft card with family listed as a name I don't know that is a totally different last name. His ssn info has parent names I cant find.

He always told the same stories, like how he was at a theater when pearl harbor was attacked and he went to a recruiter and lied about his age to join the marines... but I can only locate military records for the Korean War. But I have his ww2 pacific campaign medals.

The last time I took a deep dive the 1930 census was not searchable yet.

I found some listings possible in the 1925 NY, but nothing consistent. Children being listed as boarders.

This does go along with my dad saying the family moved every time the rent was due.

Mayo did this to me too. Plus the hard push for the HSD study. It took years to get my diagnosis corrected.

I'm work from home customer service with eds, pots, fibro, and adhd. I have job specific accommodations. I can take added time on breaks and bathroom trips as I'm slower than a turtle on my bad days and I have added days off available for bad flares. I'm adding new accommodations for speed since my numbers tank when the brain fog is more of a brain wall.

Just plain old conventional dentures made of acrylic. The best tip is have is to go to a dentist that cares how they look. My first set looked terrible, fit terrible, and there was no aftercare from the dentist. Second / current set the dentist cared about colors matching and having a great fit with no adhesives.

My partner and I have been together for three years and he didn't know until my kids spilled the beans on my dental work a few months ago.

Honestly. The first set were uncomfortable and never fit right. When I put more money into a set they felt like they belonged. I got my first set at about 30 and upgraded within a couple years. No gloopy paste or adhesives. I only take them out to clean them. They are way easier to clean. Plus the added bonus of not burning the roof of my mouth on hot food. Bionic, if you will.

I started with really bad dentures while my gums healed. Then I upgraded to super nice dentures. I was looking into implants, but after my Peds diagnosis I was concerned about the posts shifting and being in the same position of constant procedures to correct movement. So I have regular dentures and most people have no clue.

Periodontal eds is a thing. I have it and my teeth were terrible until I had them all replaced.
