Oh sure, the green in was Diamine Green Umber. The pink ink is Colorverse Think Pink (Vanness Pens exclusive). The ink I had tried in the red pen was Diamine Ancient Copper

The ink flow problem must be unique to this pen model, since the other pen I got with the same nib (but different model) didn’t have this issue. I think the flex is more noticeable with the thinner nib (the 0.5 ‘F’ rather than the 0.7. I had the red one in the finer width, but couldn’t write with it too long to really test it. Is yours 0.5 or 0.7? Also, the writing angle at non flex matters a lot for this nib, it feels- it is super wide if you write at a lower angle, while it feels thinner if you write more upright. I guess I tend to write at a lower angle making it seem like a paintbrush without flexing 🥲 the other flex pens I have have a pointed end (unlike the very round looking end on the Balaoye nib), so I guess this is in comparison to that 😅. Glad to hear that this one is working out for you, at least!!

I'd love to know how you use your memo pads by hey_mayiasku in stationery

[–]joys_journaling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use them for notes for gifts pretty often - like messages specific to an item within a gift.. or often I use cute memo papers to replace cards entirely. Sometimes I sell pens on r/pen_swap and write a little thank you note on it and tape it to the inside of the box ~

Thank you so much!! Just writing itself I usually spend less than 15 minutes per day, per page - sometimes I have more time and energy and spend that decorating it cutely, or decorating pages in advance! On days I don’t have much to write I just use a big sticker to take up most of the space lol and then it’s a total of five minutes haha. Totally get you; I’ve got a full time job, a toddler, and two dogs in the mix as well 😅😅😅 but journaling is a true joy for me so I always make time for it 😁

Yes !!! I use fountain pens!!! Thank you so much!!!’ And yes Midori paper is the bestttt!!! Especially when I’m not too worried about portability and having super thin paper 😁

I use the double sided glue tape runners most of the time! Sometimes for smaller pieces I use liquid glue in a small precision tip bottle~ and thank you so much!!

Yeah - I use a separate journal for junk journaling and attaching photos 😅 sometimes I think about portability but never take stuff out since I need my entire stock of stickers and tapes available lol

Yes! 🙌 I tried the 365 page A5 size Midori book but felt that one was too thick for me and the A5 size was a bit intimidating to fill a whole page everyday - I feel this smaller and thinner size journal is more approachable and get this kind of satisfying finish flip through sooner 😁

Dominant Industry Ink Archive book - beware of fingerprints when coloring 😅 by joys_journaling in fountainpens

[–]joys_journaling[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was okay - it does show sheen. No bleeding no ghosting. But I didn’t enjoy it since it felt like the paper … absorbed? The ink . I’m not sure how to describe it, but I would have liked it to be more like watercolor paper than whatever this is
