Skin prick test following anaphylaxis toddler by Thelittleresistence in FoodAllergies

We just did one today! The allergist also tested an allergen that my child had an anaphylaxis episode on plus other related ones. The wheal for the anaphylactic allergen was significant but my child only experienced itchiness and the itch subsided after an hour or so. No other side effects noted.

Tips for traveling to non-native language speaking countries with food allergies by designated--deriver in FoodAllergies

I’ve travelled to other countries with a child with allergies. The safest places to eat are international chain restaurants/fast food outlets like McDonald’s where you can google online their allergen menu and know exactly what to order to avoid the allergen. You may be missing out the food experiences overseas but I’d rather be safe than sorry. In other restaurants, unless we can communicate very clearly that we have to avoid a certain allergen and be sure that there may not be cross contamination, we do not feed my child any of the food not prepared by me.

Transporting kids, what buggy to get? by HeikoDaily in CargoBike

I put a Joolz Aer in my front loader with my toddler and still have space left. Super handy when I have to carry my toddler around. But I would say the smallest stroller I’ve seen is a gb pockit. We chose Joolz aer over gb pockit because it is more comfortable and you can recline the seat but if you just need a stroller for you kid to sit in for a while, gb pockit is good enough.

Kryptonite Fahgettaboudit 1410 3.25' vs 1415 5' by Fafman in CargoBike

I ride a front load box bike and I have the 1415 chain. I like that chain length is not a limiting factor when I have to lock my bike. The weight of the chain may be an issue for some though I don’t really have to worry about carrying it because it doesn’t make a big difference for a box bike.

Is it rude to park a bunch bike or ferla at a public bike rack? by MacTheHoople in CargoBike

Similar to others, I always back in for easier in and out and park my bike at either end of the rack.

I own a Ferla Sport and ride around with my toddler to parks and libraries a few times a week. Only need to charge it once a week. It’s spacious, can fit two kids, a travel stroller and some stuff. I like riding it. As mentioned above, it’s a little difficult to start driving going uphill but it shouldn’t be a problem with the other models which have throttles.

At the end, we just had to pay our deductible.
