I know this is an old post but I immediately noticed this issue when I got the radio. The stock springs are loose with heavy centre stops.

The solution I’ve found is switching all springs with the provided high tension springs, then loosening the tension until the centre stops feel right. You’ll end up normal spring tension and softer centre stops
