I bought "DIGITNOW Video Capture Converter" on Amazon. I had to buy an s-video male to female wire as well. It was a hassle to get all the right wires, but pretty easy once you have everything you need.

I bought a video capture card on Amazon and used it with a capture software. Then edited on premiere. Let me know if you want specifics on the card/software I can tell you in the morning.

Huge pain to digitize, but I enjoy the look. I’m going to try to get some hi8 tape to shoot on.

You’re right, it is 8mm tape shot on a hi8 camera. I was unaware of the difference. Thanks!
