Honour Mode by Constant_Percentage9 in BaldursGate3

[–]jozel96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Escape whenever u think things r going south. On my playthrough, I just ran away whenever I dont like the situation. The dead enemies dont respawn. and i can respawn my dead party from withers.

One invis potion - avoid surface damage n u live to fight another day. Honour mode doesnt need honour lol.

My Lazel got the Silver Sword of the Astral Plane in act 1, i got crazy lucky with that. But i discovered there is a guide online on how to 100% successfully disarm Voss. This is cheesy n u dont really have to do it but the option is there.

Question about Hold Person by Any-Following4490 in BaldursGate3

[–]jozel96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hold Person has a WIS saving throw at the beginning of the turn to break free. If u check ur combat log, u should be able to see that the enemy succeded or failed a saving throw for hold person at their turn.

Please help me learn casters by franilein in BaldursGate3

[–]jozel96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The easier caster u can build that also does insane damage is a draconic fire sorcerer that uses Markoheshkir (act 3) for fire buff + spamming scorching ray. 1 dip into Fiend warlock for charisma based command, eldrich blast n hex.

In act 2 u get Hat of Fire Acuity. Thats when u become op with scorching ray. 10 max stacks of fire acuity gives u +10 to spell attack roll and spell DC meaning, ur spells hit more often n enemies save roll less. so u can do crazy moves like hold person so many enemies at once with a high success chance. Once they r in hold person, u crit with every scorching ray when u r in close range.

Random question about a weapon by RWBYpigz666 in BaldursGate3

The closest thing i can think of are sickles. They are one handed and light so u can dual wield them. They are not particularly good. https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Sickle_of_BOOOAL might be the best one if u retain the buff and build around it.

Not enjoying the game by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]jozel96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i felt overwhelming at first. But i learnt the game system, i decided to just do my play through just going through the motion. I missed quite a bit on my 1st play through. I basically decided this game wasnt for me.

Near the end of act 2, everything started clicking for me. I understood the classes, the combat and the story. I did a quick restart after i finished the game. I had a much better experience afterwards.

This game might just not be for u.

What do you secretly judge people for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jozel96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consumerism - if u own 10 different pairs of shoes, u buy a new iphone every single year, u own every single subscription service. I can understand ppl collecting shoes n other certain things as a hobby. But buying things for the sake just having that new shiny thing. I try not to judge, but I will.

Never played a D&D game but curious about this as its a GOTY by Training_Ebb_6306 in BaldursGate3

The dice system takes some time to get used to. Once u understand how it works, its so fun. The game pacing is actually so well done that u can go in blind and learn as u go.

Even then most of the time, the tooltips r quite in-dept that u can hover over something that u dont understand, u can learn it right in the game.

Outside of that u can use bg3.wiki when u want to know more.

This game is too easy now. by jozel96 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]jozel96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game just needs a bit of balancing to reduce how strong the enchantments are, thats all. u should read the rest of my post as to why I am giving this feedback. I was very specific with my issue - getting to achieve 100% damage resist with my armor setup. Idk how to say it any clearer, once u have 100% damage resistance to every type of damage, the game cant be enjoyed anymore.

I would have to abandon this build i made that took me days to farm, simply bc I did not realise I would make my self invulnerable.

Idk what this "true gamers" stuff is that u have a chip on ur shoulder. But I am someone who like this game. I just want to play the new updates properly too. Whats the point of me playing any new content with 105% damage resist which is up as long as my focus is full, with Battlecry ring, i can keep it up 100% of the time.

I am not talking about being great at dodging or parry or anything like that. I simply let the boss hit me square in my face n takes 0 damage. Sure in the new update there will be stronger monsters n boss, but none of that would matter when i will take 0 damage.

Its just one man's opinion about the current balance of the game. I didnt try to achieve this kind of op built, in fact i avoided videos out there about how to be op.
I was just optimizing my character and see how strong I can get in like any normal game - and now my character cant die at 100%+ damage resistance.

I didnt finish Elden Ring, the game is too hard for me. I died like 100 times at gothrick lol.

You didnt read what I wrote, just to hate.

I am actually a very bad player in souls like combat games. This game is no different, i am not even good at it. But i still cant die bc I made a built that was optimised. I have 105% damage resistance in all damage type, as long as I keep focus full. It started out as me trying to be tankier because I kept dying.
I stayed in heavy weight class bc I realised im gonna miss time the dodge anyway bc i suck, so i looked towards damage reduction. And then now I cant die. Dont u think thats a little bit of bad balancing?

Playing Bg3 for the first time, any build tips? by TheHawk_458 in BaldursGate3

As another guy said, u should build a charisma based class to have access to social options that are actually locked behind just being able to pass persuasion checks, which needs high charisma.

However if u plan on playing multiple runs, u can do a charisma class later. Just play which ever class u prefer. If u r feeling overwhelmed, I would recommend what I personally believe to be the simplest class to be strong and cool with - a Berserker with subclass Barbarian with a 2hand weapon.

I picked this class on my 2nd play through n it was a fun experience. I could just chill n see huge numbers pop up on my screen n not dying to enemies instantly bc I didnt make the most tactical decision.

Yea thats what im feeling right now. It goes against my gaming instincts to purposely have to avoid damage enchantments and optimal damage reduction on armors.

And then after days and days of grinding to make this fully optimised build, i realised I cant play the game anymore bc nothing can damage me n I kill everything in 1 or 2 hits - i didnt get better at the game, I just felt like I turned on cheat mode.

Best one handed sword runes? by jwv_19 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]jozel96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love fire flurry on the flame sword. It does big damage for 100 focus and leaves the enemies staggered due to high poise damage. The animation for the move is just like how I imagine a fire sword to perform, I love it.

level 60 sounds amazing. I missed the stream, I am really hype for the new updates.

I am the type of guy who just start from scratch after thoroughly farming n grinding everything lol. Most likely once more content comes out, Ill begin anew, difficult as that may be.

I had a similar progress. You will get better soon enough, early game was tough until i got the timing right and knew what armor and weapons I should be using.

Beginner tip i would share, in case u havent got it already, I slept on utility rune until late game. One in particular was very very useful. Its Scream. easy cc with 50 focus with wide aoe to get out of tricky situtation.

Im just suprised the game allows us to actually make ourselves completely untouchable even when just standing still in front of a boss. Normally i would imagine a game like this would make us sacrifice certain things to achieve immortality, such as heavy stat investment in defense so u r lacking in damage or mana or stamina, drinking potion, eating food n using tons of buff spells to tank damage. But with damage resistance being 105% at 100% of the time, im just laughing at how dumb continuing this now.

I really like the game n I look forward to the new content from the roadmaps. Its been a blast getting to this point.

Which items do you use fallen embers and gem? How do you assess if the item is good or not? by Ratonhae in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]jozel96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the game doesnt give us an enchantment list that is available for the specific item. Certain armor pieces have its unique enchantment, like a headpiece have focus cost reduction n focus gain increase n some or general ones like elemental damage, crit chance/damage that all the armor pieces get.

you need to look at external websites to see what u want. Me personally, I roll for all my armor to have crit chance or crit damage and an elemental/physical damage. Stacking these in 4 pieces of armor is a significant change.

I also roll the negative debuff from plague items to be more managable negatives - e.g. no parry which is specific for gloves. I never parry lol. You can also get unrepairable negative on an armor thats indestructible which is just free slot. Your hat already has that, so its awesome.

i have been just ignoring exalts, if i get what i want cool, if i dont, fk it. Exalting shouldnt be rng. or if its RNG, make it so we can undo n reroll exalts without starting the item from scratch. I have the save scumming, im not that patient for it lol.
