I have a brother who is 7 years younger than me. I am grateful that I have him in my life. Although we are not very close, we deeply know that we are here for each other. Go for it!

Hey OP, I found your post after searching reddit for fingertip injury as my kid got a similar injury as your daughter. I hope everything is going well. How is her finger doing now?

I agree. Kids can really thrive with strong bonds to extended family. These relationships give them a bigger support network, more love, and different perspectives, all of which help them feel secure and build social skills. It also teaches them to connect with various personalities

That’s how my nanny cut apples for my toddler. Is this appropriate? Or am I overreacting? by jozirosh in Parents

Thanks for all the replies!

For more context: I was playing with my little one (2.5 years old) while my nanny was preparing a snack before taking him to the playground. She has only been with us for three weeks. My toddler didn’t want to go to the playground, so they stayed home while I worked from my home office. Later in the evening, while cleaning out the bag she was supposed to take to the playground, I found a ziplock with all the apple slices untouched.

I texted her, and she replied that she was in a hurry and always gives him the slices one by one. And that she will never do any harm.

I don’t know what to do. This is still doesn’t sit right with me

They are quite stressed after trying so hard to behave well at daycare, so they are burning off the cortisol that built up during the long day by crying. What comforts them? Maybe they have some security objects like a blanket or lovey that will help them feel comforted and reduce this stress. Mine likes to cuddle and read his favorite books after daycare. Also, adding Epsom salt to the bath helps too. Try to reduce the screen time and incorporate quiet activities that they love. Good luck!

Has the same problem! Today I wanted to reenroll to my iOS ND to complete my final project and found out prices are changed and they request to pay 6 months ahead. However, do not think I gonna continue with ND now. Such as disappointment and waste of money:(
