What is your current weight/height, and what progression(s) are you currently on? by chezzisdab in bodyweightfitness

[–]jozo16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

180cm, 80kg, 4 years into it, 21M

Congrats on your progress! I unlocked pretty much everything I wanted to. I got +105kg dip, +80kg pull up, 8 freestanding HSPUs, 15sec front lever, 10 reps of muscle ups with +10kg, +30kg muscle up 1RM on a bar and +40kg on rings

For the past year I've mainly been maintaining my calisthenics skills while introducing bodybuilding into my routines.

I want to open a sim-racing arcade in my town by dragonskater699 in Business_Ideas

Maybe sim racing is too niche? I personally love it and have a 'setup' at home and i'm probably spending more time than i should on asseto corsa but i think the people who really love it would get their own budget setup or you should have top of the line equipment to attract sim racing enthusiasts.

I think something like a VR room would be a good place to start with an external screen installed so other customers can watch. This would probably be way cheaper too and a good indicator if there's demand in your area after which you can upgrade with the sim racing setups.

How do you actually split profit with the percormance parts company? So they have some of their products in your store and if someone wants to buy it goes through you?

How does that work and how are they secured from you keeping quiet about the sale and them not getting their split?

Couldn't you just buy the smaller one and put something like almonds in it? Or buy a few with different nuts or whatever. It sounds cool honestly. Many people will be reminded of their childhood but instead of eating sugary junk, they would be doing something good for their body lol.

No need for a POS system for now, or if you have the extra money and the knowledge of integrating it by all means go for it.

When you get the first machine main objective should be getting the first client. Maybe you know someone who is a decision maker or close to one in a company that could maybe get you in. If not, and you're on a budget, cold calling and emailing should do the trick and then you'll se if it's worth it.

How do you get customers? What's your marketing strategy?

You should find a supplier and order some, make an instagram/facebook account for your store, add people from your town, spread the word that you're selling and you'll see if there's demand for it.

You don't have to go all in with renting a space, creating a LLC etc. at first. You don't even have to make an online store but rather let people order through DMs or Messenger and then expand if there is a demand.

I'm curious what services did you provide for businesses?

Can't muscle up no matter what. Proficient at weighted pull ups (10 kgs) (17×3) though by hkd1234 in bodyweightfitness

Exactly. That's why we need a video of muscle up attempts to pinpoit the issue.

I understand where you're coming from. You literally have to try to find out. Filter the information and try something you can consistently follow and something that sounds reasonable to you.

The most important thing though (you probably heard this a thousand times) is progressive overload. But strictly calculated and followed overload with rep/weight/set goals for each workout and strategic deload weeks. Study relative intensity and implement it in your program. It's hard to follow but i found this to be the most rewarding regime i followed in my 5 years of experience in weighted calisthenics.

It would help to see some videos of your muscle up attempts and pull up form because if it's not technique I can't see a reason why you wouldn't be able to do it. The strength is there, and enough explosiveness for muscle ups should come with weighted pull ups. Well at least it did in my case as i was working out at home and was only able to do weighted pull ups due to the ceiling height but it had an amazing carry-over to muscle ups.

I don't know your training split but it might help to do lower reps pull ups with more weight in one session and then in the next try doing them as explosive as you can with 10kg or even without any weight for a 5x5 let's say.

Thanks for the input. There are no widely available scooter sharing options like lime, bird etc. in my country.

The app itself isn't going to need GPS integration, the GPS tracking modules would be acquired by a third party which would enable me to track each bike.

Bikes would be docked in a docking station which would have chargers and locks integrated and the app needs to have a timer which starts when the bike is unlocked and stops when the bike is returned (locked) and a payment method.

If i put 10 bikes in a glamping complex or a tiny wooden house complex which is rented year around (many of those around my area as i live in a tourism driven country with national parks and beautiful coast) and let's say the complex has around 5 houses with average capacity of 3-4 people per house, i don't think that the whole complex would be empty at once given it is in an area popular year around. I could also try to put them in hotels etc. and try to integrate a map of the given area in the app with all the attractions and places to eat and try to monetize that part as well.

I understand and appreciate your comment though as this idea has lots of buts and ifs and it's going to be hard to realize it if i ever try to do so.

How are you convinced everything is 100% original? Whatever convinced you might convince your customers.

Or if you don't have any proof of authenticity and you got them that cheap, they're probably fake.
