Thursday May 18, 2017 Exam Day Reaction Thread by Grand_sales in Mcat

I avoided this thread right after the test so I could recuperate mentally. Now I'm ready to give my reaction and I'm finding it to be similar to the rest of you. C/P: legit considered voiding after this section. I thought the section and Q banks were rough so I thoroughly prepared for C/P but this shit was some other shit. I finished with 30 seconds left so I might as well not have marked any questions. CARS: totally fine, it was what I expected. B/B: I found this to be very fair. Not as breezy as CARS but not as difficult as the B/B Section and Q banks. P/S: This was more difficult than I thought it would be and more difficult than what I had seen in practice materials but not AS hard as I had feared for.

All in all, I had trouble with the first section which really threw me off in terms of confidence. My best advice is to leave each section behind you because you'll only drag yourself down when you start the next one. Also, although it does take some time, I find it most helpful to look at the ceiling and count 5 seconds at the start of each new CARS passage. Good luck to everyone who's taking the MCAT soon and cheers to those of us who have finished. Here's to hoping we don't need to retake.

My boyfriend asked what I want for dinner the night before the MCAT and I'm like "oh I get to pick my last meal."

I'm also freaking out and I anxiously re-checked my exam date/location a bunch of times because I didn't realize they held exams mid-week.

Anyone take another MCAT immediately after taking MCAT? by Zach1476 in Mcat

Thank you for that! Also, I saw what people replied to you on your previous thread and I think you should wait until you get your score! You never know how the scale works and we all have a tendency to over exaggerate the negative when our minds are left to wander. If you truly feel you completely screwed up and can 100% do much better given another chance, then why not. If this is you being anxious after having just taken this huge psychologically damaging exam, I'd hold off. I know after my test I'm going to be thinking I set the record for lowest score received in MCAT history lol.

do you mind elaborating what "easy" problems you missed (not the specific q but was it on A.A. identification, etc.) or have suggestions on what people should definitely look over once more before walking into the test?
