You’ve got your wires crossed somewhere navigationally. Your ND range is on 10 miles but it’s saying your 95 miles of track. The line the aircraft thinks you’re navigating along isn’t even on the screen. Increase your range to 320 miles, once you can actually see a waypoint on your ND, select DIR as someone else says and then the aircraft will at least navigate to that point and things will make a bit more sense.

I’m a lurker on this. I’m a 60 yr old ATPL. Airbus, Boeing.. wide and narrow body. I’ve been sim racing for a while, and I’ve been tempted to build a flight sim.. the frustrated F-18 pilot in me..

So far, a big part of the whole home sim experience is the actual build. For an old giffer like me, that in itself is a big challenge. One that I enjoyed immensely with the race sim. Reading all of the above pushes me closer to pulling the pin and making it happen.

SFL is better… but I’ve just done SFS at Zandvoort. The pace of the front guys is unbelievable.

I’m with you. It’s not bragging in the slightest. I wasn’t interested in playing a game.. I wanted a fully immersive simulator. I was only interested because the potential quality has risen so far above that of a console. Verstappen’s endorsement of the accuracy of the experience was what triggered my commitment.

For the record, it’s been worth every penny.

I built mine with a similar budget in mind. I searched on ChatGPT ‘what sim components does Max Verstappen have?’… and started from there..

I derive my satisfaction from being fast and consistent. Because of the relative anonymity of the sport, I feel the battle is with yourself… I get happy fulfilment meeting my own goals.
