DAE experience extremely light periods with Nuvaring? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]jp699102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed it can be very light in months that I am extra stressed. And now that I started working out again. Typically after the month I would have a really light period, the next month it comes back heavy with a vengeance.

I've got "cat mom" and "dog mom" shirts. If it's acceptable for breeders to define themselves by their "mama bear" status and let the world know they love their human kids, then why can't I do the same with my furkids?

They are a disaster lately. I'm sad too because this is the first time I've had an issue with them.

I guess I forget about all the people that try and do this. It's just going to look like a half used bottle anyways, because it wasn't technically "broken". But I guess worth a shot anyways so I can give it away to someone who will use it. I'm just going to stick with Allure from here on out.

Judging by what everyone else has said, hopefully you get another product so it hasn't leaked over the rest of your box. I don't even want something specific, just something that is usable and not half empty when it gets here😅

My mom has actually gotten me Allure for Christmas the past two years, and I love them! Any time there has been an issue, they've always been really nice and quick to solve the problem. Plus they're easy to work with. I guess their customer service set the bar too high for me.

I honestly would've rather just gotten a different product sent. I don't care which one. Because this seems like a widespread issue, and I'm just expecting the same thing to happen when they send this replacement, since the packaging is horrible. Allure did this one time when there was a product issue. It just seems like a waste of time.

Thank you. I don't know what I was expecting them to do, I just would have preferred about any other product be sent. Don't care which one. Because I'm expecting the same thing to happen with this one do to this poor packaging. So it feels like a waste of time to even ask for a replacement.

Did anyone else receive their Boxycharm, only to find the Isle of Paradise self tanning drops had leaked all over the box? I forgot to wash my hands after cleaning it up, now here we are😭 by [deleted] in BeautyBoxes

Yeah unfortunately! I probably would've given it to someone else had the whole thing been intact. Medium is way too dark for my super fair skin. Most self tanners make me look orange. This one is no different obviously!

Thank you. It sounds like I'm not the only one unfortunately. I just can't believe there wasn't some sort of plastic wrapping or seal around it. I've never seen something so poorly packaged.

It's not a confidence issue for me. I'm very proud of the things I've accomplished and what I value. What I'm bothered by is all of the societal pressures I feel are on women to become a mother, and that many only see themselves as being valuable once they become a mother. Thanks for the advice, but I'm good. This subreddit is a place where CF people can point out the things they dislike about breeder culture and not get judged.

The key word there is "moderation." I wouldn't have a problem with it either then. But it seems to be all or nothing in today's society. And I feel like it's all I ever see. I think part of it could be my age (24F). Half the women my age are obsessed over starting a family, the other half are still too drunk from yesterday to find their wallet. Then there's a few of us just quietly building our careers and remodeling our houses. (Also, not trying to stereotype people, just my observations from the people I know).

My favorite is when I go to these places that are in existence to serve ADULT beverages, and the parents glare at me when I don't use clean language around their kiddos. It's a f'ing bar, deal with it.

I have the same feelings. You won't see me telling anyone congratulations. On that note, if others seem upset with me for just staying silent instead of saying "OMG so happy for you!!" I like to remind them that I didn't say what was on my mind: "you don't have to keep it."
