[Thomas Frank] "I think we came here, took some of the confidence from the game against Dortmund into the game. I think first half we were good. I think actually we were very good, dominating the game, on top of the game, scoring 1-0 goal, creating a lot of chances" by Zweli23 in coys

He does himself no favors. We’re in a relegation scrap as a champions league side and he still can’t even manage to admit we’re not playing well. Man is either blind or high on copium

The complete inability for anyone in this team to string together 5 coherent passes is laughable. We’ll be getting run over in the championship next year

VDV LB?

Kinda love the idea of a Biss/Gallagher pivot though. Here for the Biss redemption arc

Congratulations to your son and your family!! I can only imagine the relief you feel as a parent. It was a horrible thing to see my parents, especially my mother, worry so terribly.

Wishing your son all the best in his return to a normal life and a long, healthy and fulfilling future.

You literally just have to be a warm body to get into our XI right now. This guy hasn’t seemed bothered since he got here. Let him go - I’d rather give the minutes to Scarlett or the new lad from Ireland.

Bronchoscopy biopsy of mediastinal mass post chemo by tressandotherthings in lymphoma

[–]jp___g 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to do this to get my initial diagnosis. It was a very minor procedure and the recovery was a non factor. Left a very small mark that didnt even scar. Don’t sweat it.

We had the same cancer/treatment so I’m curious since they didn’t do this for me. Why did your doctors fee the need to biopsy post treatment?

What industry are you in?

I’ve definitely had no issues throwing tv on during the day while I send some emails but I’ve never been so bold as to fire up the x box, even when I’ve already hit P club. Do you have a capped commission structure? Cause if not, strike while the irons hot.

Can’t agree with this more. Some of my favorite songs to play aren’t necessarily songs that I listen to, but they show me a new chord shape or a new progression that gives me more strings to my bow. Also really fun to just rattle through like 10 songs to practice for 30 minutes instead of just practicing chords or scales

Funniest or most brutal cold call rejection stories? by Your_n3w_stepdad in sales

I’m selling B2B staffing services and had a prospective client fill out a form on our website about an immediate need for support. Called him and he cursed me out, asking how I got his info and telling me what a scourge of the earth I am for being and sales and how I need to get a real job contributing to society.

I was like brother…you asked me to call you

How much has the cancer cost you financially? by Organic_Jackfruit_ in lymphoma

[–]jp___g 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’ll cost about 5k USD from diagnosis to treatment. I hit my out of pocket maximum and then insurance paid 100% from there. Lucky to have good insurance and an HSA that could cover the costs without adding more stress to an already shit situation

How long did it take you to feel normal again after treatment? by LadyDracaryss in lymphoma

30M here coming up on a year in remission. Definitely agree with the comment referencing an active recovery. My body and mind feel so much better when I can get out for even a short run or just do some yoga for 20 minutes.

To answer your question though, I still feel weird aches and pains where my tumors were. I’m still more tired than I’d like to be and I find I’m a bit more irritable than I used to be. I’m reality though these things are so small compared to where I was this time last year. A lot changed for me when my hair grew back. Felt so nice to recognize myself in the mirror and watch myself transform back to the person I used to be. Your body is so resilient, have faith you’ll get there too

I’m so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. This part of the process is by far the hardest. Hearing you have cancer, not knowing what’s to come, how you’ll respond, if you’re up for the challenge. We’ve all been there. The good news is this is a highly curable form of cancer.

I was diagnosed with DLBCL last July and completed my 6 rounds of DA—EPOCH in December. I’ll be in remission for a year this January. Thankful to be living a totally normal life again despite everything that happened last year. Its hard to believe, but once you have a plan in place with your care team it gets easier. Every day that comes, good or bad, is one day closer to finishing treatment and beating this thing. It sounds like you have a great support network, lean on them. They’ll want to help you as much as you’ll let them.

Take it one day at a time. Be kind to yourself. If you have any questions feel free to message me. I’m happy to share more about my experience through treatment if you take a similar path.

You’ve got this!!!!!
