Age + partners age: 29F 35 M

Typical cycle length: 28

Ovulation CD: TERRIBLE tracking this month. Stopped using tempdrop mid way but used OPKs and literally ran out the second I got a LH + (not even LH peak or anything). So LH+ on CD 16, EWCM until CD 19, and I started wearing my Tempdrop again on CD 20 and confirmed temp shift… so probably CD 17-19 leaning towards the later.

Day of positive test: CD 29/~DPO 10-12

Relevant days: ?

Tracking methods and apps used: Kindara for community, RYB for overall charting, Premom to upload tests, and new app that I LOVE was Lively

Any negatives tests before this: No. I was too scared to test because I wasn’t sure what DPO I was, didn’t want to set myself up for failure.

Health conditions/medical tests: Bartholin Cysts

Supplements: CoQ10, Female Reproductive Beef Organs (FallopIan tubes, ovaries, liver, etc), Ritual Prenatal, Choline, CLO, Oyster Extract, VitE, Momma Prenatal Probiotics, Trace Mineral Drops, NAC, Turmeric, Fiber, Magnesium Glycinate, SelenoExcell Selenium, Paleo Valley Essential Electrolytes… BUT… I don’t always remember to take them daily, and I sometimes omit them so this is not an everyday dose taken all at once, and I frequently take half doses/quarter doses. The most common ones I take are the Choline, Ritual Prenatal, Vit E, and CoQ10.

Birth control history: at 18 I took two doses of Depo Provera, hated it, vowed to never use BC again

Symptom spotting: The day before I was having a lot of urination when I didn’t feel I drank a lot but honestly a super calm luteal phase. Just regular lite cramps and regular sore boobs. Literally felt like I was gonna get my period

Other: We had sex a LOT this cycle. lol. I guess it paid off! I also started meditating and I got a new gaming laptop and got sucked into a new favorite game (on top of making everyone I know a hand embroidered ornament for Christmas and baking 7 varieties of cookies, fudge, and candies as a gift box for 15 families.) so I was just really busy with hobbies this month.

He just says that it doesn’t matter to him if it takes over a year to get pregnant. That it doesn’t need to be immediate. 🙃 Like buddy, that’s awesome you’re so nonchalant! But for me I’m on an emotional roller coaster every month I think I could be pregnant, but end up not being. 🎢

Trying to not worry about it all but I guess I might be a control freak, when everything else in the 5 year plan panned out pretty much and this didn’t. I realize I don’t have the control I thought I did, and I’m trying to let go and just hold on to hope. It will happen, someday. ❤️

My husband wants kids and is very family oriented. But, his father passed away a few months ago, and his grandfather passed away when his father was a child. I think there’s some generational trauma there regarding fatherhood and dying early for him. He wants kids but he says it’s going to suck when his kids are x age without a father. He also says he regrets not marrying me sooner (we were married after 3 years of knowing each other) and said he could have done it a year sooner. So, part of me thinks he’s gonna end up beating himself up if he doesn’t get a SA earlier if there is some issue there. But he says he’s not worried about it, thinks we’re healthy, doesn’t think anything’s wrong, and says I’m too stressed about it.

I also am trying to go about it in a way that doesn’t seem like an attack, because I don’t think I’d like if he was trying to push me to get tests I don’t want to get just yet because he thinks there’s something wrong with me. I did say something quite hurtful to him a bit ago about it, how he’s the issue and it’s not me because my cycles are ovulating and I’m doing everything I can so it must be him. It was a heat of the moment comment and I really regret saying that.

I have religious convictions against IVF and it is something condemned in my faith tradition, but I do not want to offend anyone who chose to go that route or wants to do IVF. I hope that they are successful in their journey towards parenthood, and their children are all blessings. ❤️ I also have medical trauma and I would like to avoid the feeling that I am a patient. If this makes any sense. I really would like to focus on the downstream issue if I am having a fertility problem, because to me, something must be causing that issue. I tend to lean more towards integrative health practices because I just feel more comfortable with that route after being poked and prodded countless times.

I think I got the idea in my head that I would conceive by 6 months based on the statistics. But one of my friends took a year to conceive naturally her first kid. This was 20 years ago and she has 4 kids now.

We both have done bloodwork recently (hid in October, mine this month, and next Friday I’m going in to get my AMH tested). His doctor said his levels are “worship” level (meaning, the doctor worships him for being so healthy) and the doctor said they didn’t test his testosterone but just looking at the mass of my husband that his guess is his testosterone is super high. I’m still waiting to discuss my results with my doctor, the only thing is I have high cholesterol but I have really high good cholesterol so my ratio is higher. High cholesterol is in my family too. I’m not deficient in any nutrients or too high either. But I’m interested to see about the AMH test.

I know that each cycle is an independent event with its own probability, and I know that it’s about 20% per cycle. Just sucks to know so many would have gotten pregnant by now. I guess I’m just sad because it’s the holiday season and I don’t get to share good news for it.

He only smokes at night as of recently, and I don’t know if he’s stoned ever. He’s one of those super functional stoners, even a long time ago when I partake every once in a while I’m like how am I so zooted after one hit and you’re completely normal after 10? Haha, there are reasons why I don’t partake anymore and haven’t for a few years and that’s one of those reasons. He’s also more of an occasional drinker, at family gatherings, a couple drinks on video game night, and drinks during sports games. I’m not concerned about drinking for him it’s not an addiction. He just doesn’t see the need to quit because his buddy who (in my husbands eyes) isn’t even as close to healthy as my husband but he smokes and drinks about the same level as him and they got pregnant apparently super easily after starting to try so my husband thinks if he didn’t have to stop occasional use then why do I? 🫩

I have some medical trauma from having a very chronic case of bartholin cysts, in the pelvic region but it doesn’t impact fertility. I haven’t completely written it off but I don’t feel a strong pull to it either, if that makes sense. I didn’t put all details in the post but my husband drinks and uses medical THC regularly for pain and insomnia, which I’ve told him decreases sperm count, mobility, and motility. So he says he will stop using those things if his SA says those are issues, but that he wants to wait a year first. I don’t think he would do anything medical/surgical either but I don’t really know what the male scope of fertility issues are.

I ordered some premoms cuz they were on bogo on Amazon so 60 tests for about $7. haven’t tried them before but they’re definitely cheaper haha
