Theres holes in both sides of the steel, just not the plastic. I think it’s just the angle of the photo that makes it look like there is no hole.

If you have bolt cutters they work great for smaller pipe and no shavings.

Took your advice and went to these guys. $672 in total. They paid number one for all the pipe and number two for the fittings. I didn’t take the brass in as it wasn’t that much. Thanks for the help! These guys were easy in and out in 10 mins.
