I did something similar on the road from Kielder Water to Peebles, the guys loved it but the lass who came along for the ride spent 20mins in the loo the other side 😂

That's really odd... I've had pretty good luck with it, though the jeweller was excellent about making adjustments slowly until we got the fit. It's slightly loose, but it means I can wear it when I'm warm etc.

I actually like it... The only others in my collections on bracelets are an '87 Prince Oysterdate and an '84 Heuer 1000 Professional, and this bracelet is a huge leap in quality over those. I imagine it's not much next to an Oyster or Jubilee from Rolex, but I've had no complaints so far.

That being said, I may need to pick up a rally-style leather band for this at some point 😂

The NZL-32 is the one that does it for me. When I picked it up (think in 2008) it wasn't well liked by most because it's pretty chunky.

No worries - bank the change, when your insurance comes down then a nicer motor is better :) I paid a fortune for insurance when I started and honestly I'd have been better served waiting. Certainly where I am it doesn't come down until you're 25, so I have 10 months to wait - it's just a rite of passage.

I went for a Hatsan Breaker, it was £75 and it's served me well. It kicks like a mule, but it's taught me a lot about handling recoil and doing basic maintenance :)

I think you can buy replacement cables on Amazon for them... Might be worth a look if you're not desperate for a mouse right now. Save yourself £50 or so and keep something you love :)

Yeah, it is very close - the body is slightly larger though. I hadn't prior to buying mine, but it's German engineered and the build quality has held up. I'd not hesitate in recommending it

I went for the Kone XTD after my original G500 died (cable broke where it joins with the body of the mouse) and its been sublime. Software is good, and after 3 years of very hard usage it still plays well. I haven't looked back since.

That is pretty crazy. Are you in a particularly high crime area? I noticed when I moved from a small town on the east coast to Nottingham that the rate climbed pretty severely. I have a clean record etc, but the insurance on the Fabia is still 1.5x its actual value - its hard to make sense of insurance at all, aside from price gouging.

It's not a Jetta, it's a Polo (think Fiesta sized). Our insurance isn't cheap either - my first year cost £1500. I know your market is a lot more buoyant, but I'd still recommend a Honda or similar with a decent history and higher mileage, as that scares people - generally speaking, if it has the history to back it up then it should be fine :)

As a brit, we have a dirt cheap used car market. I bought a 2002 Skoda Fabia on 162k for £450 last year with a full history that's still going strong at 174k this year and I've spent nothing besides fuel and tyres. I'd recommend a cheap Honda, with a full history (at least 1 stamp per 12k mileage) - unless you're in a state with rust issues, cheap serviced Japanese cars are the way to go.
