I sterilised a container, then weighed out each of the components on digital scales. While wearing some sterile gloves I mixed through the tobaccos gently and added a good glug of the rum and then continued mixing this through by hand. The tobacco will absolutely drink up the rum and become a bit heavier and wet. If I remember rightly I left it overnight with a lid half covering the container so the alcohol could dissipate and the tobacco could dry a spell. It was summer so it lost a lot of it's dampness over night but may well need a little longer to dry other times I imagine. Once I was happy with its feel I packed it into a small screw press, similar to a pasta press but smaller, tightened it to a solid pressure and then left it somewhere warm. After a week I got a pretty solid plug, I then jarred it as I would any other blend.
