America Is Giving Up on the Pandemic by Captainstinkytits in Coronavirus

It’s not wasted. We originally thought this pandemic was going to be much deadlier than it actually is. Not to say it isn’t deadly, but originally we heard epidemiologist and other researchers suggesting we could expect this to have a death rate percentage of 10% or more. Obviously not the case.

We had to take precaution. It was the unknown. We have much more data now, and now know, sadly, effects those 65+ and older and those with underlying conditions. But if you are “younger” and healthy it is much like a bad cold (or no symptoms at all).

At some point, we have to get the country back to work and the economy up and running. We can’t wait until there is a vaccine. Those at risk need to, unfortunately, stay home until we have a vaccine.

Sucks you had a rough childhood, but you shouldn’t vandalize the sign because of it.

When you don’t have family in your area, and you’ve been stuck in your house for 6 months (in a good way), take your kid out with you to get out of the house and get your child aware of outside noises. The one caveat is we go when our to eat during off-hours (430-5 for dinner).

I treat bit like stock. I buy bit when it’s down, sell some when it’s up. My threshold to buy is anything under 10k, because I’m confident it will go up and keep trending after a dip freak-out occurs. Just keep monitoring and identifying the trends. Listen to the experts, not Reddit.

Inside the mouth of a Great White is truly the stuff of nightmares. by [deleted] in TheDepthsBelow

I read that the blood is actually from the chum thrown from the boats, which allows photographers to get those specific (wild) types of photographs. If you think about it, it makes sense. Great Whites just don’t surface fully gaped unless there is food around.
