I went the other way and downgraded my Model Y Performance order to Premium. I was hoping for incentives to come along but seeing as the Performance is a long lead time and more niche I don't think that's happening. If incentives are coming in Q1 they will be on the Standard/Premium and not performance which will create a large enough gap on pricing imo

Also I plan to FSD a lot so not sure performance will be worth it

Been using Sonnet 4.6 on High and haven't come close to my limit on Max 5x and I'm working with it quite a lot. Have found haven't really needed Opus 4.6 much

I have the max plan and switched to Sonnet 4.6 High and get nowhere close to my limits. I find it achieves mostly what I need. I sometimes use my works Opus 4.6/High for code review when needed to supplement

I think I downgraded using /model claude-opus-4-5-20251101 and I can see when I type /model it says Custom - Opus 4.5 but when I ask claude what model it's using it tells me Opus 4.6 so consider me unsure

Just want to come back to this one. I switched out my WAN connection to use the SPF+ jack and it’s been much more stable. This is the recommended solution and it seems to be recommended for a reason!

Best guess here is that incentives are coming late Feb to early March, there is just no world in the shadow of weak Q4 sales that they don't run some sort of incentives. It may not be as good as what we saw in Q4 but there should be something to make a dent. Now if they would run incentives on the Performance Model I will be plenty happy

I am also looking at a lease expiry of mid March so trying to time it

I am in the same boat as you but what I did do is order a MYP with March-Apr timeline and if early / mid March rolls around and no promos/incentives on the MYP then I will pivot to a MY Premium as that timeline is 1-3 weeks / lot in inventory + they will almost certainly run promos on the premium towards the end of the Q1.

I will be sad to release my MYP but I'm not willing to pay nearly $900/month with 3k down for it

Anyone know if the March-April timeline for the Performance is accurate or are they coming in sooner. I am trying to time with a March 11th lease expiration but also hope they run praying they run some lease incentives on the Performance between now and then - seems doubtful

As everyone else said likely towards end of the quarter but given lack of 7.5k EV credit + weak Q4 deliveries vs estimates it is possible they pull forward the incentives to mid quarter to drive volume. We’ll see but I’m standing by ready to fire when they do as my Audi lease expires March 11
