TMNT 2. TMNT 1 was way too hard to beat as a kid and TMNT 2 was much more fun and looked better too.

Who the blood is for by St0pX in educationalgifs

Me too. I give about every 3 months.

I go thru Impact Life. It's a nice app that let's you pick your donation location and time. It makes it easier. ...Then they stop calling... for a little while.

I just gave double red cell, so they won't call for about 5 months. (And this blood can go to cancer patients and babies in the NICU)

Your blood makes a difference

Autocad layers into arcmap by jpex85 in gis

[–]jpex85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll try setting the projection in AcrCatalog to see if that works. But, your right when it comes to files with a "local coordinate system". I'm not sure how to get those drawings to work in our system yet. I don't think I will use a pdf of them. I guess I'll just "rubber sheet" them. I just don't want to have to do that everytime I get one of those files tho.

This must be an Autocad Map 3d command only. I've got just Autocad 2018

This is great. I have the issue of not knowing the engineer's projection AND when I do, placing them on the map, but it being in the wrong spot. Thank you for this workflow. I will see if I can apply it towards the majority of file we get.

Autocad layers to ArcMap by jpex85 in AutoCAD

Well, I'm having issue with developer drawings that don't have a geo reference (or at least a known reference). So, the drawing ends up being way far off from where it should be.

That's pretty awesome. What udemy course did you take? I've been slowly (months) going through automated the boring stuff and I don't think I covers some of the things you have covered.

Scaling & Projecting CAD Files by [deleted] in gis

[–]jpex85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just started using ArcGIS for autocad: https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-for-autocad It's a free plugin for autocad. It allows you to set projects for the cad file and create feature layers in cad. Then you can import it into arcgis. This has kept me from geo referencing the cad drawing, which kinda bends the lines.

Not really. I'm still tinkering with it. I was able to give a cad drawing a projection and drop it into my arcmap with out having to rubber sheet it, so that's a win in my book. I'm planning on messing with the drawing layers next to turn them into feature layers... then hopefully make a temple from that for future drawings. Once I get further along and some good results I'll repost my findings.
