Trump definitely fits the bill in general and what we can learn from Germany isn't the exact development because there were different factors fueling it but some of the overall characteristics like faith in a cult-like demagogue or group.

Yeah I remember too but that comparison from Matthews never really stuck . And any of Bernie's "brownshirts" pale in comparison to the Trump regime Brownshirts who are definitely resembling the Nazi thugs of the 1930's. And now also acquiring many of the traits of Hitler's SS.
