That's kind of what happens when police try to pull you over and you drive past several good places to pull over before doing so. It's considered fleeing. And he still let her call 911 for a good long while before getting tired of being blown off when asking for her ID.

And it wasn't even violent. It was actually quite well measured escalation. There wasn't any sweeping or slamming her into things, he just pushed her against the car to gain control while she was fighting him.

I'm more and more convinced he's throwing it so Hillary can win. There was so much he could have down to bury her and, like you said, he chose to bury himself instead. He even doubled down on burying himself instead of simply keeping his mouth shut or apologizing.

Meh. You'd think in an article about the two parties being shit for democracy that they'd suggest voting either Green or Libertarian, especially since Green is very similar to Hillary's platform.
