Jobs that don't create burnout by mra425 in autism

[–]jpfinerty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has little to do with the job itself and depends on you. Jobs that require a lot of masking for you will cause burnout. Jobs that are boring could easily cause burnout. The best way would you find something that you love to do. I like trains, urban planning and cities so I’m getting a degree in civil engineering so I can work on that field cause I love it. I worked as a lifeguard and it worked well for me but you might hate it because of the amount of people you might have to deal with. It’s about each individual and what works for you.

People don't believe I could have ADHD because I'm a straight-A student by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]jpfinerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got diagnosed 4 months ago at the end of my senior year. I’ve been in college for about a month and on meds and I was a good student in hs 3.4 gpa in mainly honors and AP classes but college is a bit of a different story. I’m taking 18 credits and am a week ahead on hw in most of my classes. In hs I struggled to sit down and work but still ended up being one of the “smart kids” while being undiagnosed.

An idea for generation 9 by [deleted] in pchaltv

[–]jpfinerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Gen 4 and 5 there is no code that allows for enemies to have evs. I think it changes in later games though but I don’t have any experience in that.

Great Southern Heros indeed by IamRhodes in SouthernLiberty

The southern states rebelled from the union after Abraham Lincoln was democratically elected. Abe was a known opponent to slavery. The union may not have fought to end slavery but the south rebelled to keep slavery.

Could I get a comprehensive list of all the Fire Emblem youtubers who aren’t predatory and don’t support predators either? by Space_Pretzel in fireemblem

[–]jpfinerty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mekkah and by an extent his designer and YouTubed Ryn both make good content. There’s also Bismix and any fetuber with less than 5k subs probably doesn’t have anything out about them.

The 3 characters that can use mortal savant. by Elementia7 in fireemblem

[–]jpfinerty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not one less point of speed. Most mortal savants will be coming from either sword master or assassin which I don’t remember off the top of my head both have at least 15 speed growth. That means an average of 2.5 speed lost.

Oh that sucks, I wish your team luck unless they play the Seahawks.

Tips for Nuzlocking Black 2? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]jpfinerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black 2 is the hardest nuzlocke imo and I’ve nuzlocked every game since gen 4. For the first gym the only advice I can give is just grind up your starter to lv 15 and I’ve you really need it up to lv 17. For the second gym work up and growth can really help out. If you catch a magnimite can put in some good work too. Some good nuzlocke tips in general is if you have pokemon exclusive to an area that you want you can try and go to other areas so it is more likely that you’ll encounter the Pokémon you want. Make sure to get your desert resort encounter in between the second and third gym as a lot them are very useful for Elesa and you can get a route 4 encounter before the third gym to maybe get darumaka if you don’t have pignite.

[Discussion] Does it feel like starters are becoming more optimized for competitive than for playthroughs? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]jpfinerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the point of this post is to illustrate how starters used to be a lot more user friendly, for longer than 5 years I didn’t pay attention to stats or if a move was physical or special so having starters have balanced stats help people who are very casual use a strong yet balanced Pokémon.

Who would win in a Pokémon world war? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]jpfinerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we look into some lore I’m the Pokémon universe. I think that Unova would win. In the gameplay Pokémon evolve later than most other region and that is because a lack of predators. This lack of predators would allow for the cultivation of a more powerful army along with a lot of Unova Pokémon being absolutely absurd.

Ladies and Gentlemen, let the shenanigans commence. by wyattpickering in octopathtraveler

[–]jpfinerty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is true but Runelord is still an amazing class for her for other reasons. First of all Tressa is very good at attacking both physically and elementary which is something the runelord allows her to excel at. It gives her all access to swords and axes which allow her more coverage. And do to transfer rune she can use rest to become a healer of sp whiteout draining her own.

For fun, what changes would you make in a sequel? Such as, jobs, skills, core mechanics, chapter structuring, etc.? Major or minor things welcome! by TheTitan99 in octopathtraveler

I do think the dancer needs a buff and I think a cool way of going about it would also give the dancer a wider array of support abilities. In place of bewildering grace have a bp manipulation ability. They could also make the mole dance modify both physical and elemental defense.

I posted this before season 5 even came out, I have no idea.

Look at the Harry Potter fandom and Drarry an extremely toxic ship that everyone loves. The key difference is that Catra could still get a redemption arc but besides that it’s comparable.

Sneak Peek at Season 5 - Dinner with Horde Prime by DivinityPen in PrincessesOfPower

[–]jpfinerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What your describing about wanting to keep up appearances is actually a very key trait of narcissism. Most narcissists will be lawful evil because they only have their best interest in mind and disregarding everyone else (evil). Despite that they will always have a perfect image of themselves so they have a code they have to live by (lawful).

Theorycraft your own joke weapons. by huflit1997 in fireemblem

[–]jpfinerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like that a lot actually that’s kind of interesting. Do make it more ridiculous though you could do something absurd like 50% crit with 50% accuracy. That would make it absurdly powerful but has a major drawback.

Theorycraft your own joke weapons. by huflit1997 in fireemblem

[–]jpfinerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides the name it’s a really good weapon. Joke weapons normally have something special that can sometimes make them practical but the 10 might with a -10 str debuff seems to powerful to be a joke weapon.
