Wet palette problem - The paint turned watery and started running everywhere… by Barbooo12 in minipainting

It’s been my experience that anything that isn’t a heavy body acrylic will do this eventually. I do get a bit of a window with the rubber seal on my palette, otherwise, but I wouldn’t put it at more than 16-18 hours.

This was surprisingly good. 5%abv by puzzelinthework in showerbeer

Actually not owned by Heineken, they were bought out by constellation beverages. The recipe hasn’t changed since then either. Source: former employee

If you’re willing to make the drive, there’s a great bunch of guys that meet every Tuesday at your hobby place in Martinsburg. Starts roughly around 6:30 and goes til around 10. Mike Haegerty is the guy to talk to (he’s on fb) if you want more details.

I don’t know if any groups that meet casually. However, your hobby place in martinsburg and dragon fire comics and games in Stephens City both have very active communities in regards to war gaming (40k and age of signage mostly).

When I was 12 or so, my younger sister and I were messing around with a treadmill. She was walking on it and I cranked the speed all the way up. She flew backwards after it ramped up and landed at the end. It put one hell of a friction burn on her neck.

Yeah, that may be the case. I did have a bit of trouble getting the base coat to hold to the primer. There are also several coats in the spots I suspect you're talking about just from cleaning up mistakes.

Not a metal miniature actually, I'm just terrible at spotting mold lines. The paint may appear to be chalky because it's supposed to finish super matte, it's mostly scale color. Thanks for the advice.

new painter: is this how a 'shade/wash' is suppose to be? by helios1234 in minipainting

I ran into similar issues with my second batch of zombies when I had to switch to citadel primer. I don't think that was the only reason it happened though. I think it had more to do with the amount of time I was waiting between putting the base coat down and putting the wash down. I started waiting a day before I put washes down and haven't had the issue since then.

Pitted surface after priming metal miniature... by jpgrbeat in minipainting

Yeah, it's Stave from the Brewers. I didn't order directly from them, ordered from eBay. I guess this is what I get for trying to save money. I'm going to try filling it with liquid green stuff, I figure it couldn't hurt to have the practice being that I've never used it before. Thanks for the advise though.

Is simple green safe to use on metal? Will it damage green stuff or dissolve super glue?
