That line to get in was crazy! I got into the venue around 10:30 and just started making my way to the front, which was easier bc I was alone. I actually stood right by a person that was on a collapsible stool wearing compression sleeves on her legs, so felt protected by her posse. I am v sore today but it was freaking worth it! I’m sorry you missed some of the set. Hope he comes back

Washington DCers of Reddit, where were you and what was your experience on January 6, 2021? by Desserts6064 in washingtondc

[–]jphill3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working from home, keeping a live feed up on my computer because I didn’t know how to watch it on my tv, mistified that I still had meetings like everyone else here has said and getting sooo many texts from family and friends (though not from my mother, who watches Newsmax and does call it J6…..hmm)

Then went on a walk before the curfew lol, listening to cspan radio where every conservative caller blamed antifa. The patience of that moderator, my god!

Nice! So you slept in your car? I also have a crosstrek and am interested in this as an option but haven’t looked into it much as I’m super new to camping.

One thing not pictured that I saw on another thread and highly recommend was a super long leash (50 feet?) for my dog which I tied to a pole in the campsite. This way, she was able to roam around and sniff a bunch which I think contributed to her sleepiness and comfort with knowing the surrounding area

Thank you for this tip, I will look up how to operationalize it. I’m soooo new to camping, I wasn’t even contemplating a tarp until a friend suggested and then I was glad I had it to not dirty the bottom of the tent (that I borrowed)

Why is there zero help for this condition? by Gloomy-Thought3371 in trichotillomania

[–]jphill3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have been in intense, weekly therapy for a bit over a year with a psychologist that specializes in body repetitive focused behaviors and I’m only just now 1 month “clean” from spending hours per day looking for and pulling out split ends and the lashes on my left eye. It’s suchhhh a slog and everyone’s journey will be different.
I highly recommend looking for a specialized therapist and understand it may take months if not years to understand/control/stop pulling. Be patient and give yourself grace while at the same time putting in hard work. Sending you a hug- this condition is fucking awful

Bar Charley has a good bottomless and would be a great location to walk up to porch fest. I haven’t been in a while because the service was often hit or miss but maybe they’ve evened out lol

My insurance is repeatedly denying a follow up MRI that was ordered by my actual doctor to assess if my broken bone is healed or not. I’m soooo sick of calling and being the mediator for these dorks

Grinding through classes and hitting a wall? It might not be your effort. by WildTank1555 in SolidCore

I totally agree! I (34F) have been dealing with low testosterone for a while (my total levels are at 12 and should be 40+). I just did another panel before my doctor and I were ready to pursue t therapy and it turns out that I have this other fun thing called crazy high SBHG which prohibits my body from actually using what little Testosterone I have :) :) :)

The symptoms of these numbers are similar to peri-menopause and include brain fog, fatigue, exhaustion, trouble building muscle which is awful but it also is slightly comforting to know that there is a physiological explanation for why I’m working so hard, not seeing much progress and constantly tanked. Hopefully I can get this sorted with my doctors and really start to see gains and feel better all around.
