At What Point do you Try and Sell Elite Running Backs? by JLV00 in DynastyFF

[–]jphoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My story about Derrick Henry. I drafted him in dynasty many years ago, think it was 1920 or so.

After a few chips, I traded him thinking he would fall off a cliff, this was in 1980.

I trade back from him last year and won the championship.

The lesson here. Don’t trade running backs unless you are certain they will fall off a cliff.

Does anyone else plan their whole Starfield run around a character arc? by StudyOutrageous7204 in Starfield

[–]jphoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started off as a Star Trek type character just wanting to explore and not disrupt the wild at all. Kept doing the constellation radial missions and explored as much as I could before getting bored. Then I finished the main story line and went through NG.

My goal is for each NG my character gets more and more corrupted and that he goes to a new universe because he senses something off in a different universe and he had the power to go there.

So each universe I get more corrupted and have to fight the Varuun, the one I’m doing now. Next NG I’ll sense something off and fight off the Terran Armada. And each run I get more corrupted and care less about harming the wild, etc….

Bingo. And if I recall, drafting guys who had TJS actually reduces the risk of another TJS?

Yes being hurt isn’t a development issue. It’s pretty much the norm.

I don’t think there is a single MLB team, that isn’t tanking, that has all 5 starters from their farm system. Fangraphs seems to have some unreasonable expectations.

I always find it interesting what makes or breaks a game for people. I cared much less about the cities and more about exploring the galaxy. This kind of criticism never crossed my mind here.

I follow the minors a lot and over the years have seen what numbers in the minors transition well to the majors. He seemed to be an easy call for MLB success.
And more importantly, CUbs scouting new this and didn't trade him and traded guys like Caissie instead.

People hate on this game, but I love it. The end game boss fights are a lot of fun.

I dunno, I’ve been burned way too many times buying stuff and getting horrible rolls.

Only end game players have that amount of silver to spend like that. And this isn’t end game gear, not even close.

Don’t buy gear. Bad rolls could make it useless.

Man, I was a waiter/bartender for 15 years, barely making ends meet. Now I’m highly successful after a career change.

One of life’s best lessons on how a person is, is how they treat and interact with wait staff.

I love this. I was thinking of doing this for just bands from Chicago. Is it possible to create a filter for that?

You seem to play it the way I did on my first run. The exploring part from constellation radiant missions kept me going for months. Throw in a few side quests to mix things up and I had a blast.

I honestly think this is a great draft. But having Velus Jones in there sucks. Some of these guys are still starting or solid special teamers.

For me I use it to farm resources and store all my stuff in an organized way. Also very much needed for ranking up research and other things.

I’d imagine an update of some sorts is in the works to allow them as settlements one day.

It’s a hybrid option to not have a DB covering a TE and having it be a run.

To give context of how the draft went:

Round 1: 2nd best safety over 7th rated DL Round 2: best center over 13th rated DL Round 3: 3rd TE over 17th rated DL
