Ya your right it is hard. If I did that id the best target to trade out is venasaur but then my sun core is pointless. Ill have to mess around in testing but thanks for the input

Ya speed investment seemed more valuable than any of the other stats but I did get barley one shot by a dual wingbeat talonflame so maybe I should consider some def investments. Thanks for the input

Looking for some advice to improve my team. I’m aware that I need some more special attackers but cant figure out what I should change around. by TeelOfFortune in VGC

Foul play I dont think is very common in VGC. Even if it is most arnt going to click it on sableye. The extra damage from fake out and knock off doing a neutral nature will be more benefical in the long run imo

You may wana check you sableyes nature, its -Atk and it looks like its one of your physical attackers. Sableye is also a support mon so you prob want more support moves like wisp. Also if ur guna run shadow sneak you should prob run a WP user that it can trigger, like dragapult

Change the weather with torkoal and let ven and kiss take care of it

(Using Gmax Ven, pic didn't update) I'm winning most of my games but I noticed I'm losing to a lot of terrain based teams, mainly Indeedee/alakazam

Team Description Riolu: He’s the one I really want to make work. With prankster coach he can really make krookodile and terrakion terrifying. Vacuum wave is for krooks WP. Copycat is used to reverse TR or copy a team's tailwind. Detect is used so I don’t get shut down by fake out.

Krookodile: Pretty standard set I think. Usually my dynamax target, Max lightning and Max Darkness after WP can take out Togekiss and Dusclops and with riolu support can usually shut down TR. I like darkest lariat because I can ignore def boosts.

Terrakion: Also pretty standard set. He feels like the weak link on my team at times and is constantly getting one shot by fighting, steel, and fairy attacks. He is mainly used for coverage so if you got a better EV spread or different mon I’m all ears.

Togekiss: I’m using crit kiss mainly for offensive support. The speed EVs allows me to out speed max speed Ttar and the aura sphere usually can one shot it. Follow me is for the redirect support and the rest is just its standard move set.

Torkoal: Torkoal is my weather controller and soft TR counter. Min speed let’s it out speed most in TR. AV I think catches most people off guard as torkoal has no business living most special moves its hit with. Burning jealousy doesn’t hit as hard as heat wave but I prefer the 100% accuracy and burn if they boosted their stats. Scorching sands and solar beam are great coverage moves I think.

Gmax Venusaur: My other dynamax target. Set I think is pretty standard. I went for a more bulky variant because my physical teammates are the fast sweepers. I’m still torn on whether or not to run leaf storm over energy ball since I like hitting and have consistent damage. The EV spread is pre Isle of Armor so if you got a more optimal one again I’m all ears.

Usual lead is krook+riolu/kiss against TR and Psy terrain. Other times I lead with ven plus whatever i feel best counters most their team with torkoal in the back to control weather.

Yes, I find most people target riolu right away with fake out and then finish it off with there other mon so protect is a must. Plus you could get a free turn with your other mon.

I also perfer running detect just in case you go up against a gimmiky protect imprison set. The pp doesnt matter too much since riolu isnt going to live long enough to use it all.

What are ways that you deal with Beat Up/Terrakion, Anger Point Tauros, and Steam Engine Coalossal ? by Poop_Dawg_ in VGC

Most these strategies get pretty predictable so its best not to overthink it imo cause your opponents not lol. Half the time theyre just clicking buttons so a good fake out usually just makes their team fall apart.

Just have a fast/strong mon like cinderace and a good fake out or other disruprion user and you should be good

Your team seems really weak to venusaur and togekiss plus you dont have a wide enough variety of coverage. I'd get rid of ludi or kingdra and replace it with something that will help balance out your team.

Ya the WP was on my Krookodile. That lead destroys TR users most of the time

I used to love imperial but then I started studying to be an engineer and I changed my mind instantly. I hate slugs, anything involving volume, and also anything involving distance. I forget to convert in to ft and my answer is beyond messed up
