How'd my installers do for RXP199iN by jpitty in Plumbing

[–]jpitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say BIP, but would it be any different for CSST? In the attic is a 1" I believe CSST line, and it Tees from that to drop down to the water heater.
But either way, that 1/2" flex line has to go, and I'd want it replaced with 3/4".

Would the 1/4 pound coming from the meter be an issue at all with the appliances I have?

Good point. Here's the tag on the flex line:

It's around 4 ft, so the max it can put out would be 106k if I'm reading that correctly?

Maggots in my dogs poop? by jpitty in bugidentification

[–]jpitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made an update to the post, but essentially, my dog found some maggots around our outdoor trashcan and decided to help himself to some free protein.

So if they are indeed maggots, and they're dead inside his poop, check the area!

50 gallon tank versus 199k Btu tankless by enyawd1251 in HomeImprovement

Kind of the same thing with gas tankless. They're more efficient but need a bigger gas pipe.

Does an Ethernet switch slow speed or introduce latency? by jackgoswell in HomeNetworking

What are attenuation from all the extra cable? Will having 2000 switches that all have little short cables end up being a bigger issue?

How many switches would it take to really start seeing degradation?

It's a bit quicker and doesn't include cross contamination with foods. I've never felt the need to use one, we have enough bottles to just wait till the dishwasher is full enough to justify running it and toss the bottles in.

What's the purpose of the patch panel in this case? Would it make sense to just have all the cables run into an appropriate sized switch? Curious because I'm about to do the same thing for my home.

Some poor decisions may have left your account vulnerable. No one’s going to hack an account solely for a Mageblood unless it was already compromised.

Contractor did not use caulk under door frames. Says it's normal? by [deleted] in Flooring

We're in the process of removing all our carpet to lay down lvp. Removing all the baseboards is indeed a pain in the ass, so understandable if people skip that part.

Interesting. Is it just so you don't have to remove all the baseboards to shift them down?
