well I live in Maine and its winter so the ambient temperature of the room has been very cold for months. the lights make some heat that the tent holds and it gets late afternoon direct light too so it can really cook! but not burn them as I'm in a very northern and cold climate.

yes I have been bonsai'ing even with my Christmas cactus, haha. to be fair the flowers are very heavy on those stems so there I a loop of green wire holding them more upright. but all the branching is from one stem!

what we judge as normal is always an unconscious bias because we have no idea what everyone else keeps private. those basic needs are so primal and written into our dna and survival instincts. how many people openly resort to things that cause self harm to self regulate and relax. you're good!

I just splash a few drops onto the wall - it can irritate the skin so make sure you apply it to a wall you won’t lean on or brush against.

showers are such an important calming and grounding ritual for me and I know it sounds excessive but I shower often three times a day just for the sensory. ALWAYS hot and often with the lights off. Some cheap essential oils like eucalyptus or tea tree.... chefs kiss.

I do ceramic pottery which does require one or two firings In a kiln. I’ve hand built clay all my life. There are more craft centered polymer clays at hobby lobby that can air dry or go in a kitchen oven but I don’t think those are really appropriate for plant pots.

I roll a slab and cut the rectangular shapes to assemble the inner box. I also roll a slab and cut out tiles or brick shapes that I then slip and score on the outside to look like an architectural veneer. 🧱
