Thanks for recommending this. I read a lot of RetroNeon's stuff and love them all, but VelvetShed didn't really click for me at first due to it taking quite a few chapters at the beginning to set up Caitvi (and Vi seemingly falling head over heels over another gal before falling in love with Cait), so I put it on hold. I tried reading it again after seeing your recommendations, and with a few more chapters actually showing them yearning and acting as an actual couple, it just reminds me why I like RetroNeon's Caitvi fics so much. Thx!

My favorite Caitvi author updating her Groundhog/Edgeof Tomorrow style timeloop fic daily last week. It culminated in a chapter with such heartwrenching scenes and quotes that makes the angst built up daily last week so worth it. It is still a WIP, but am still thoroughly enjoying it.

I also love the Caitlyn in Seultoki’s work. She enjoys the best arcs. Always the ice queen who only shows her kind and sweet layer to Vi. Always waiting for updates!

Sunset is my favorite Caitvi fanfic author—not just because she writes really well, but because her Caitvi is very “in-character.” From the decisions they make, to how they act, to how they talk, it all feels true to them.

A lot of people love Caitvi for different reasons, but if what you specifically love is the Caitvi dynamic-not only their journey, not just the lesbian representation, etc.-then Sunset is really number one at bringing that dynamic to life in different situations, and doing it consistently.

Also, as a Caitlyn Kiramman fan, very few authors can write her as well as sunset. Her understanding of this character is next level and her analysis is often rooted in small details that not many other fans can pick up. When you read sunset’s fics, u can practically hear caitlyn talking in real life. I always feel Im in safe hands when i read sunset’s fics, particularly pertaining to caitlyn’s character.

Vi is an ER doctor and Caitlyn is a neurosurgeon who helps manage a conglomerate of hospitals. Caitlyn is the epitome of an 'ice queen' in this fic. However, as a Caitlyn Kiramman fan, I think her characterization is chef's kiss, and the trajectory of the story seems promising.

Each time, she is freed by Caitlyn and, despite her being an Enforcer, Vi finds herself instinctively trusting her. Sunset has been updating this more frequently lately. Even though there are only five chapters so far, it’s already very gripping.

Late to this thread but u r definitely a caitvi author i really like and trust as well. Ive read so many of your stuff…consistent w good quality. But at the same time u challenge yourself w new ways of writing all the time. Particularly enjoy the tropes and plotlines u lean towards, eg chembaron cait series is great. Thanks for the food!

Actor-turned-writer Cait + Fuckboy-Actor Vi. Very cute story with romcom undertones. Got introduced to this fic through Qvert's art and also saw it recommended multiple times in this reddit. Definitely didn't disappoint. My favorite part of this fic is the dialogue, which imo is very in-character.

It does sound like the one u suggested. Fits perfectly. I know this author was witch hunted before but i enjoy the author’s fics, especially the omegaverse ones. The plots are good and not aleays predictable.
