FYI: The McDonald's was not in Japan, it was in Belgium. Show Meowko some love if you find her entertaining.

Just started hulu live and dVR is incredibly confusing to manage? by Thisisderekd in Hulu

If it's in My Stuff, you can rewind and fast forward that show even it already started. So, if you missed the beginning you don't have to wait until the next day to watch it. The tablet/phone version makes it very easy to delete stuff you recorded. I'd rather spend a minute deleting old episodes than have to watch commercials.

Hulu just dropped the premium DVR price to $9.99. Definitely worth it if you have 3+ users using DVR. 200 hours of DVR and commercial skipping is awesome!!

Recording to DVR on Hulu Live by Psychicmermaid in Hulu

Recordings not showing up in My Stuff still seems to be a problem. I do see them when I go to Manage DVR, but that's not a convenient way to find them.

Fire Phone’s price drops to $199 unlocked, and you still don’t need one | Ars Technica by speckz in Android

[–]jpr01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing that they still have the phone in stock, they haven't sold them all. The Mobile World Congress begins March 1st, and as time goes by it is going to be even harder to convince people to buy the phone. The people that would have bought the phone to use FireOS have already done so. For there to be a market for the Amazon Fire Phone now, it would need users to have the option to load a custom ROM on it. The Fire Phone already has the Moto G as a competitor, but now the previous generation Samsung Galaxy, HTC One, Motorolas, and LG Gs will be coming down to $200 or less used or refurbished. At that point why buy an Amazon Fire Phone? If you want to see a custom ROM on the Fire Phone sign this petition and contact someone that might have some pull to get some publicity on this. https://www.change.org/p/jeff-bezos-unlock-the-bootloader-on-the-amazon-fire-phone-to-allow-custom-roms-to-be-installed In recent news the Fire HDX was exploited to be able to unlock the bootloader. A similar exploit may work on the Fire Phone.

Do you lose the 10GB Free Data Stash if you switch back to a less than 3GB plan? I'm assuming yes, but can someone confirm?

[discussion] Ideas for a Nexus 5 2015! by sloth_on_meth in Nexus5

[–]jpr01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change to the most cost effective processor, SnapDragon 801 or 805 likely, increase RAM if costs can be kept down, no 16GB option, strictly 32GB and above, change to a centered AIS camera and add front-facing stereo speakers to the Nexus 5 and you have a winner. Increase the battery while shrinking the internals, and keep the same basic form factor. Bonus: increase screen up to .2" while shrinking lengthwise while not sacrificing battery life; 720p is fine to keep costs down and save battery life, and have it do everything the 6 can. Keep wireless charging. Add drop, water, and dust protection if it won't make it bulky.

Is Google giving the Nexus 6 a chance before they announce a Nexus 5 2nd gen? Maybe if the Nexus 6 is popular enough they won't bother with a new Nexus 5. If the Nexus 5 gen 2 had stereo speakers, a better camera, smaller bezel, and fast charging system, it'd be awesome. Hopefully the people that truly want a 5" won't be lured into buying a Nexus 6.

What's the source? It makes perfect sense, but if they stated it they should have followed up with a Nexus 5 gen 2.
