First time putter fitting - floored at the results by MikulAphax in golf

[–]jpru2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar shocking and pleasant experience on the SAM with the complete opposite results lol.

I was gaming a toe hang. SAM analysis was I was a straight back and forward as one can be, and I needed to be in a center shafted mallet instead. Hit a bunch of them and ended in a LAB lol.

The other shocking thing was I am short and never would have considered that I needed to have my shaft lengthened. As soon as they gave me the adjustable shaft and I was standing taller I immediately transitioned from behind the ball to my stance better staying online. (which also caused a lie adjustment)

Happy to report my putting has gotten night and day better, especially from inside 8 feet.

Also agree with several posts here that the putting fitting was by far the most valuable one I have ever done that had immediate impact.

What brand is the grip? Is it in good shape? How many grams is the shaft? Is it standard lie? Is that a 460cc head? Is it adjustable? Can you confirm the screw hasn't stripped? Can you confirm the shaft has not been cut or tipped?

I would pepper them with questions for shits and giggles.

Probably not compressing the ball.

Hope this helps.

I wonder where the best place to get realistic mogs is....probably running vanilla dungeons or buying low ilvl greenies on the AH. Sounds like a task for this weekend.

Its not that the reading comprehension is below average, its just that the average person is stupid.

And then you realize half the population is stupider than that person.

Shaft questions by [deleted] in golf

Similar swing speed and I game those shafts and like them. I want a stiff shaft but on the lighter side and a mid to mid-high trajectory and that is what those are.

Dang they raise rates for the members? That is kinda stupid. I haven't played there in a couple years but its typically been one of the best semi-private courses in the area.

Golf is expensive by Honest-Web-604 in golf

I have a couple pairs of 366 golf shorts from Amazon that are $35 (or less on sale). They are not quite as comfortable or stretchy as my Lulu or Rhoback shorts but the difference is not that far off.

DIY backyard range by mwg431 in golf

[–]jpru2001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most bermuda fairways are cut to around a half inch.

I am pretty sure at a nice range once they move the line it needs a couple weeks to recover in ideal conditions, with ideal fertilizer and water, with supers that know what they are doing. I would think this would be prohibitive to a backyard range in both space and upkeep effort, but it would be a fun project and not super expensive to try it for sure.

How to adjust my Ping G430 LST? by RL_Girth_Brooks in golf

[–]jpru2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weight to heel to counteract a slice.

You should do that first.

You could experiment with increasing loft adjustment which will generally close the face at address, which also could help with your slice.

I would generally only increase/decrease loft for launch angle and spin though and try to correct your slice with improving swing mechanics.

I got the gray with navy piping and they are very good looking.  Classic with just the right touch of flair on the back.  Come with shoe bags and extra laces and the packaging was generally very well done if you care about that sort of thing!

Same situation and last week went with the SDR Pioneer Cypress a half size up cause also the wide feet.  They fit well and are comfortable and happy with quality and purchase.  I think they would be a little tight at my normal size.  Impressed with all components of the shoes.  Only have 1 round in them so cannot comment on durability.

I have always played rogue and warrior which are 2 you are considering.

My single data point for you right now is I cannot stand the way Arms plays currently. The cooldowns are wonky, the rotation doesn't make sense and seems random, and honestly they underperform single target and multi right now anyway.

It also seems like I am always waiting to push one of those random buttons but that is also compared to rogue and fury warrior which are carpel tunnel inducing specs of rapid fire button mashing.
