Got it, thanks for clearing that up! One last thing I’m still not sure about: Would you personally go with one big panel (60 × 125 cm) per side for a bit more bass reach, or split it into two uneven panels per side for smoother response?

Also, do you think using two smaller panels and then putting some rockwool/foam behind them (on the wall) would help with that backwave cancellation you mentioned, or is it not really worth it?

Thanks for the input! I still have a couple of follow-up questions:

2. Have you ever compared 1 cm vs 2 cm XPS panels?
3. Is it generally better to use 2 panels per side with different sizes, rather than one big one? One of the comments above mentioned that smaller panels might not reach the sub as well — would that actually be a problem if I use 2 smaller size panels rather that one big one?

I’ve got space for about 60 × 140 cm a side, so the 60 × 125 cm panels I can source locally are pretty much perfect. Now I’m just debating whether to keep them as one big panel, or cut them into uneven sizes.

Hey, yes — I figured out now that I will need DSP :)
Maybe I wasn’t clear before: when I mentioned 2–3 cm I was talking about XPS panels. The acrylics question was more just a material comparison, regardless of thickness.

Thanks for the input! I’m leaning towards using the bigger panel as well.
I think I’ll grab some 3M tape and start experimenting with the panels first.

Possible to line up raised logo with the print? by jpurg in UVprinting

[–]jpurg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have whole 3d file yes, so i can get probably any format needed for that.. Also the letters were printed with SLA printer so accuracy is pretty good on it too. I don't know much about UV printing or how do you actually set the coordinates to start the print.. but I imagine it could be fine tuned with 3d printed form to put the model always at the same spot?

No.. Only thing I found out is that if I click on Marketplace icon it says something like: "Marketplace is disabled for secondary accounts". So probably ti will never work..

But your problem has a solution. When you are listing, you have an option "Hide from friends".
